I used Halloween temporary hair spray to turn my hair silver. I was going as a red and silver "Queen of Hearts" card. It was... very strange. And washing my hair afterwards and seeing the water turn bright/deep blue was also kind of a shock!

Yeah I'm just gonna go nuts one day and dye my hair with some type of temporary hair coloring and like I don't know go to Disneyland or some over populated area with some crazy bright color.

As a natural red head I always wanted to know what I would look like with black or brown hair but I have heard that it will never look the same again.

Just like all things of this nature....it depends on like 3 diffrent things...Can the person "work" the style...was it done correctly....and who is looking at it. Personally i have a friend who dyes her hair conenstly....it looks terrible at first to be but then im used to it...she LOVES it all the time...

I dyed the tips of my hair a rather nice purple color once, and being a blond, they really stood out. However, I did get quite a few comments on people asking me how long it took my roots to grow out, seeing as they thought I had dyed my entire hair and that was just the leftover.

Eventually I just dyed my entire head that purple color to stop the comments and I loved it. Just keep in mind every color will eventually fade out, so you will have to keep dying it. If I can offer a tip? Use shampoo for color treated hair, as well as a conditioner to keep the color longer. This will also help keep your hair healthy, since the ammonia in the dyes will strip your hair of most of its natural oils and will eventually damage your hair if you dye it too often.

Dyes with less ammonia will harm your hair less, but the color also wont last as long.

Hair is one of those wonderful things that will keep growing back no matter what you do to it, so you may as well have fun!

i have had my hair colorued, stripped and bleached and everything and anything

i have had bright blondes and brunettes
I am also aware of the science of hair colour. I am sick of colouring my hair and have not coloured it for about a year.

Thanks to my family starting to go grey at fifteen, I have to dye mine or it looks ridiculous. My hair is very long, and right now it's plain brown, but when all the colour is gone and I'm completely grey, my plan is to lighten it all to white. This will probably be before I'm thirty, but I don't mind so much. Having long white hair could be pretty awesome.

This reminds me of a funny story. I go to a boarding school right, and one night a couple of guys decide to run around the dorms dying red streaks into people's hair. They got in a bit of trouble for that...

As for actually dying my hair of my own free will, no thanks. I know too many cases of people who've unwillingly turned thier hair a nasty shade of ginger or something that resembles scrambled egg. And unnatural colours are weird, except sometimes on girls, it sort of works then.
well with hair turning copper coloured and brassy colours they were just not doing it right
or did not leave it on long enough(brunettes have a copper undertone and blondes have a brassy undertone) if you don't leave it on long enough or use the correct volume of peroxide you will get this effect.

I spray painted my beard with a new colour each day for a week, and I'm considering to permanently colour it :p

not to get off topic, but why does this website keep telling me i am spelling "colour" wrong?
Because it's an American site and thus uses their chosen spelling of the word (and similar words like favourite and armour).

On a few occasions, when I was younger. I really can't be bothered these days, despite the fact that I don't really like my natural hair colour [mousey brown, they call it..].
I wouldn't use anything too outré, though. Most adventurous I got was a really dark shade of blue. Come to think of it, that looked awesome.

Never dyed my hair green, but I have done the whole thing lighter for a cosplay. If I could, I'd experiment for weeks if not months - but the army forbids it.

My hair currently is its natural color, but last year I dyed it black... it was awesome. I'm thinking about doing it again, or going to a red-ish color. Can't go blue with my current employment, but I so would.

I haven't ever dyed my hair, my mum might kill me if I do.
It's a sort of auburn naturally, but I want to dye it so it's a dark red.

I let my hair dye black once it should have had a bit of a blue glow over it, but that didn't stick to my hair. I was a bit bored with it so I wanted something new. I don't regret it but now I wouldn't do it anymore.
