as much as I know it's wrong to expose financial information like that about someone, it is private stuff that I don't think should ever be "leaked"....
I fucking hate cheaters, like really really hate cheaters, especially if you're married, it's fucking horrifically selfish and I hate that people get used and hurt from such shitty bullshit decisions.
there aren't really any good guys here...but fuck that website, I feel really sorry for all those spouses of those users, they deserve so much better.

I just wonder why the info hasn't been leaked already, if you cheat this is what happens. This is nothing but karma and I'm happy.
No hacking is not right or legal, and no exposing peoples private information is not right either. And you have no clue what their arrangement at home was, people would just get publicly shamed for being on the site no matter what circumstance. I rather doubt any of you would enjoy public prosecution on account of your dating life, but hey as long as it's not me that is fine...

Eh, it is a big colossal cluster fuck of questionable morality. That being said, I don't feel bad about it, hell, I think it's hilarious. Be as polyamarous as you want but cheating is just a dick move.
I'm also surprised that they got 37 million people to sign up to cheat. I mean I'm sure 98% are middle age male but..
I'm pretty sure I saw someone mention that a massive number of those 37 million accounts are bots. Also, I don't really have much sympathy for the singles going to that website, since they're probably still looking to get into an affair with married people. One the one hand, there's cheaters. I can't stand nor understand the desire to cheat. It's an awful feeling on the other side of that. In some cases it's not something easy to get over.
On the other, there's largely a free market, this is their business and if people want to pay for that... well, they can. Plus threatening to expose private information of users because you disagree with the business just isn't cool.

The hackers are wrong. Flat-out, objectively wrong. You don't know the kind of people who are on that website. You don't know why they're cheating. You don't know them and you don't know their partners. You don't have the right to make that decision. If they want to cheat, it's their relationship. Not yours.
I won't cheat. No particular desire to. That's my decision and I didn't make it with the influence of others.

Claiming that Ashley Madison is responsible for the leak of info if they do not respond to the hackers (illegal) demands while maybe technically true (in the unlikely event that they are honest) it is a crock of shit. If the info gets leaked out it will be the hackers not the site. Cheating hookup sites are not my thing and cheating is about as slimy as you can get while still not being an out and out criminal.

Uh-huh, "moral high ground", right, sure. Because it's not like with all the info and access they claim to actually have they can't just destroy the site directly which would ruin the company to the point of non-recovery.
