i'm going to say it's different cultures, Asia does a lot of things differently than us. so it would stand to reason that they have a different definition of cute
Try going to an arcade in Japan and tell me that they don't smoke that much. Or even better try going to a resturant. People are smoking there too. I think it has to do with their diet. All that raw meat is actually good for you.Skeleon said:Maybe it's because they don't smoke as much or spend as much time in the sun as the white people you know. Both makes your skin age prematurely.Florion said:No seriously, they don't visibly age as fast as... maybe not "other races," (I notice that black people tend to stay younger longer too) but definitely slower than white people. On the inside, they're just as creaky as everyone else, but if you go by white people face-aging standards, you have to add a decade before you're even in the right ballpark.
No, really, honestly no.Florion said:No seriously, they don't visibly age as fast as... maybe not "other races," (I notice that black people tend to stay younger longer too) but definitely slower than white people. Dude, it's Japan.Ceefax said:WTF, Asia has some sort of time control mechanism???Asciotes said:Plus it's a fact that Asian people don't age as quickly as other races.
There was me thinking time passed the same speed for all of us here on Earth, but noooooo, the god dam Asians make it go slower their side of the world.
Also, the absence of wrinkles might throw Westerners off a bit.fix-the-spade said:No, really, honestly no.Florion said:No seriously, they don't visibly age as fast as... maybe not "other races," (I notice that black people tend to stay younger longer too) but definitely slower than white people. I assume this has something to do with Asian facial structure, which is rounder than western. We (white people) associate roundness with children's faces so looking at an asian face a lot of people automatically (ans subconciously) associate the round shape with looking younger.
But it's a myth, they'll still look about 30 when they're 30, it just doesn't fit to what you expect '30' to look like, because you're looking for western features like squared up jawlines and increased muscle mass (even if you don't know you're looking for it, you are). The aging cues in asian bodies are slightly different, just like they're slightly different in african bodies, they're still there, you (or your subconcious mind) just needs to know what it's looking for.
Oh they get wrinkly alright...Florion said:Also, the absence of wrinkles might throw Westerners off a bit.![]()
yes.AkJay said:I like Asian cute, and even the "Anime" cute or "Moe" as you called it.
I agree. I'd rather have a cute asian as a girlfriend than any other.KjellKanon said:All I can say is : MOE~ !
Can't beat it!
He isn't talking about how long you live he is talking about how young you look like, say for example at 30 a western woman can have wrinkles and an Asian won't.Redingold said:What? The only place with a substantially higher life expectancy is Japan.Asciotes said:Plus it's a fact that Asian people don't age as quickly as other races.

My definition of cuteness.
You have clearly never been to China. They smoke like chimneys over there. Japan too.Skeleon said:Maybe it's because they don't smoke as much or spend as much time in the sun as the white people you know.
