Im in the CF and we use the C7 family of rifles, and i was wondering what the L85A2 is like (specifically the stoppages, and what the bullpup set up is like).

A standard run time should be less than 10minutes for 1.5 miles and less than 20minutes for 3 miles.
Should I be able to do that before enlisting?

What do you think of the USMC?

I plan on joining the Army or the USMC do you have any opinion on which I should join?

What is your favorite gun that you've used?
Yes, aim to do that before. Because at any standard fitness test ( Before they send you to recruitment ) they are the PAR times you will be required to achieve.

The USMC, are very different to The Royal Marines. Though, as a Marine I respect them.

USMC. Purely because the training you'll receive is better and generally the equipment is better.

I also enjoyed using the L96. What-a-gun. Kicks like a mule though.

What killstreaks do you have equipped?
UAV - Predator missile - Helicopter. On a good day, replace Pred with Airstrike. There's nothing more awe-inspiring than a 500Lb hitting a compound.
What about a 1000Lb Bomb?

(also, respect to Buchholz101 for best question yet)
I've never seen anything other than a 500Lb dropped. So I can't comment.

I find the L85A2 to be a very good rifle. It's accurate and very comfortable to hold. I've never had any stoppages with my rifle. the only complaint with it is the exit chamber. Makes it annoying if your left handed.

I like The C7. I've had the pleasure to fire one and I can say it is a very nice rifle. Little light compared to the L85 ( Or at least I thought so )

Would I be able to join the military if I am completely blind in my right eye?

I don't really have in interest to do it, I just always wondered if I could.

If a group of enemies discovered your camp and were coming at you from behind, do you think you'd be able to take them?

Asthma a real issue? I was diagnosed when I was like 8, that affect anything? I also have a manageable strain of ADHD and far-sightedness. All are copeable, in fact ADHD is like a cheat code sometimes. I was thinking of trying for the K9 corps or Rangers. My SAI was a Ranger and is training me

There are plenty of women in the army, excepting the infantry and cavalry. Obviously not a majority, or even an equality, but still a significant amount.

Any additions to this list? I can't think of a greater qualification than armed service

have you ever killed a man, or even just seen a man die?
He answered that when he said the most combat he ever saw was when he got mortared.
OT:
I read a whole lot of books about Iraq from people who have served there. I get the general impression that marines are a pack of immature dicks. How true would you say that statement is. Also has you ever met anyone from the special forces? the books that I read describe them as freaking scary. one even used the sentence: "I got the impression he was always bored when he wasn't shooting or getting shot at."

can i give myself a code name? cause i wana call myself crowbar and i will always carry a crowbar, oh and i want to fly a plane but not a supply plane i want to fly a fighter jet, and then i want to send the rest of the millitary on what is probably a suicide mission to distract the enemy forces so that i have time to fly toward the main enemy HQ with my partner (who's code name will be eagle fort because he was raised by egals in a fort) and we'll have like 200 pounds of explosives on board and at the last second right before we crash into the enemy hq we'll both say a one liner and toss a grenade in the back before parachuting out and landing on a tank that will take us further into battle

can i do that?

No.

What trade are you?
like I used to be a Navy BOSN, what about you?
I'm first and foremost a Rifleman. Amongst the Royal Marines you are always a Marine first and foremost. I haven't specialised in anything yet. I'm still a General Duties Soldier. I need another 6 months before I can request a specific trade.
I tip my hat off to you. Royal Marine selection is pretty damn infamous for being tough. I offer my deepest respect and admiration to you, sir.

For The British Armed Forces, you must be a member of the Commonwealth or have been a British Citizen for 5 years.
That's not exactly true. I know a guy who couldn't get into the Irish Defense Force, so he joined the Royal Marines (Ranger Company, was stationed in Sangin for a while). He never lived in Britain, or any "Commonwealth" countries.
But maybe it's just Ireland that gets away with that.

Anyway, here's a question, which is probably the one thing that I would hate most about being a soldier: how traumatising is it, having to shit into a latrine? Did it get easier after a while? Have you ever had to clean the latrine?

On a semi-related note, how much sleep do you get? I don't function well on a lack of sleep. Is it an acquired skill, or just a prerequisite for being a competent soldier?
