In your opinion, could the Invasion have been a viable angle? If so, how? If not, why not?

Yes it could have been a great angle, but the WWE started with the wrong foot by announcing the buy of WCW on national television, what they should have done is first: tried to bring the real WCW talent im talking about sting,DDP,booker t, goldberg, scott steiner,flair,etc.., second: instead of announcing that they brought WCW on nitro, they should have simply at the end or beginning of RAW IS WAR, the entire wcw jump on The Rock and Stone Cold without any warning.

See, I've always thought it could have worked if WCW was allowed to exist as its own brand. Don't run it in direct competition with WWE, and have an occassional crossover match, but otherwise run independent storylines/wrestlers/staff/etc.

Also, favourite wrestler? One for the current era, and one for the classic era, if you'd be so kind. :p

LOL

OT: I always thought wresteling in the WWE was like the Globetrotters. Everyone knows it's fake to some extent(and nobody says anything)...but they still have skills.

Do you like any other forms of theater, and if not, what makes pro wrestling better than Oklahoma!?

Whats your opinion on The Rock's "bounce". Like when he would take a powerful move like the stunner he would do like an extra bounce off the mat.

Classic era: Ric Flair(the complete wrestler: Mic skills, wrestling ability, and charisma)honorable mention to:Dusty Rhodes, Rowdy roddy piper, Macho man Randy Savage,Ricky steamboat and Jake the snake Roberts.
Current era: Dolph ziggler has started to grow on me, but still my favorite is Randy Orton. And i believe CM punk is overrated.

This is know as the "sell" The Rocks sells over the years have been so over the top they're one of the many reasons he's so entertaining.

Just how much is the rise of UFC going to stomp "Pro wrestling" into the ground? Considering they are actually beating the shit out of each other rather than pretending to.
Less impact than you would think, WWE is Sports Entertainment not just sport, UFC is taking a larger chunk of more traditional sports fans...well boxing than WWE's, WWE is, on paper, supposed to be a soap opera for men, UFC, is 2 men in, one man out, balls to the wall violence.

Indy wrestler here for the back-up

I always think that Pro Wrestling is modern day theater but i don't think pro wrestling is better that anything else, i just see it as a different form of entertainment.

You could say the same thing about every superhero movie, but in the end is entertainment as well.

And i think if you could open your mind and look past the "homoerotic costumes"(as you called the wrestling gear) and the "fake violence"(which in the end leave the majority of wrestler with serious injuries and broken bones) you can see a history told in the ring but instead of words to tell the stories is with their bodies.

Right now the UFC is attacking Boxing more than Pro wrestling maybe in the future if they can take the place of boxing in the pop culture they are going to try to take a chunk of the sport- entertainment business.

That call overselling a move, The Rock is really good at overselling moves to make the others wrestler look better and make the match more entertainment.

Here is a good oversell by the rock.

And now a bad oversell

Opinion on Randy "Dream killer/push ender/monotone" Orton?
Good on the mat, really stale gimmick right now (just behind John Cena), the worst mic skills in the roster, Has finally begun putting people over(Mark Henry, Christian,Wade Barrett,Cody Rhodes).

Overall a good wrestler, but still miles to go backstage.

I found wrestling entertaining for a good two decades, but I began to get bothered by a couple of things that have arisen and I stopped watching.

The misogyny and I am not talking about hot babes showing off their bods but when those babes are told to bark like a dog on command. I recall Vince MchMahon doing this to Trish Stratus (or maybe it was someone) and being pretty disgusted by it.

What's your opinion about Vince McMahon treatment of his wrestler's, particularly the Ultimate
Warrior and Brett Hart. I know the Warrior was difficult but did he actually deserve a direct to video movie that was nothing but a smear job?

You obviously know by now that it's all fixed, why do you keep watching?
Not watching wrestling because it's scripted is like not watching movies for the same reason.
