A Thread which you can ask anything you like and also help with other questions you can answer.
I know there is a Suggestion/Advice Section, but I want a more simple, light version.
Simple Questions, Simple Answers.

So my Question I have to open this Thread is:

Q: Why all the Assassin Creed's protagonists wear hoods [except one I think]? The hoods play a role in the game?

A:I think it's more of a symbol than anything practical since they take it off to reveal their faces all the time to just about anyone. The tip of the hood that slants down is meant to be a birds beak. So either it's meant to be that Assassins want to be free like birds or that there all secretly bird-aliens. Both of those points might be wrong.

Q:Why can't Dollars/Euros/Pounds all convert to the same amount? If I had 100 Euros and wanted to convert it to Pounds why not just a 100 pounds instead of something more or less.

A: Because, that's not how currencies, and the strength there of, work. Inflation/deflation happen and affect the value of one currency against another.

Q: Why can't people comprehend the difference between "unarmed" and "harmless"?

A: Well, it sounds like it's decently interchangable on paper; take someone's pistol and they're a lot less dangerous. Less dangerous, not not-at-all dangerous. But definitions tend to be tricky, and words tend to be swapped about rather carelessly.

I lack the knowledge to answer any of the questions posed, but...

Q: Is there any biological/evolutionary/whatever reason for homosexuality to exist in humans? [footnote]Not that there's anything wrong with it, of course. I'm just curious if someone who knows SCIENCE could explain.[/footnote]

The exchange rate can fall, making an economy more competitive at exporting, or it can rise, making an economy more effective at importing. With a floating exchange rate, this happens naturally. If you take it away, adjustments become a great deal less fluid.

A: My understanding was that with Kojima's leaving Konami, the decision was made to discontinue those projects he lead that had not been deeply invested in. I'm not entirely sure why Kojima chose to move on, but it does make sense that projects he was directing are being axed if he isn't going to be around to direct them.

A: I think isopropanol [http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Isopropyl_alcohol] (sometimes called isopropyl alcohol) will do the the trick. Commonly used to clean electronics and dissolves up a lot of organic compounds. If you have a bottle of rubbing alcohol that's typically a mixture of isopropanol and water. Should work fine.

Q: Why do I find grinding in Shin Megami Tensei IV so fun? I normally hate grinding but for some reason I don't mind it in this game.

A: Hm, is the grinding particularly rewarding? I've found I have a pretty high tolerance for grinding if it's rewarding in some way, whether the leveling really makes me noticeably stronger and works me toward better attacks, or it allows me to progress through the game in reasonable amounts of time, or if the battle system itself is fun enough to be its own reward.

Q: How come I'm so damn cold all the time? Like anytime when it's warm yet air is moving? I'm sitting here at 75 degrees in my apartment, yet I'm shivering, and when the air kicks on to keep it 75 it gets worse. I'm going to need to go put on socks and possibly a hoodie. In a 75 degree room. And I'm not sick.

A:Obvious isn't it? Your secretly a fire alien sent undercover to our planet and is in so deep you have forgotten your own secret identity. Our sun isn't warm enough for you.

Real answer, no clue. You say your not sick but have you been to a doctor? It might be nothing but better safe than sorry.

Q: What's the best edition of the Original Star Wars trilogy I can buy for DVD?

There were a few.

Firstly, it helps to provide males who are not competition, but will protect the children of brothers and such, so indirect genes move on.

Secondly, gay men may just be bi and fuck women anyway.

Thirdly, men have their G-Spot in their arse, and can learn to enjoy a cock in a Pavlovian kind of way.

Dalek Caan again?!?! You better watch yourself, I've got the Doctor's number. I'll make him go all oncoming storm on your ass.

My mom and brother actually have been diagnosed with a disease where they have poor circulation to their extremities. Raynaud's disease it's called. But I don't have much trouble with any particular body part being cold, it's all over.

The one where Han shoots first :p But for real, I think Disney has recently released or planned to release the original trilogy in their original theatrical form. So look for something that's been recently released and explicitly states theatrical version.

Thank you, kind sir! I now have scientistical reasons for why I exist! Not that I needed them, but you have sated my curiosity.

Why didn't you ask a question? Surely you don't know everything. Unless you do, which is cool.

Q: If there were two people in the woods, and one guy killed the other, how fucked up would that be?

OT: Okay, real question, my desktop has a "Windows not genuine 7601" error message at the bottom right corner of the screen. I followed this youtube video's steps and got rid of it. Now I can't log on my desktop and it keeps saying "The User Profile Service service failed the login. User profile cannot be loaded." Did Microsoft brick my desktop? And what can I do to fix it?

Question: Why isn't there some super sciency laundry liquid that vaporizes dog hair on all my black clothing? I love my dogs, but I also love my black clothing.
As long as your clothing is not made out of some delicate fabric like silk:
-Buy a roll of sticky tape, preferably something not too sticky like masking tape.
-Wrap it round your hand a few times with the sticky side facing outwards.
-Use that to pick any loose hairs off of your clothes.

My little sister used to have the same problem with our cats regularly.

Q: How can someone adjust their sleep cycle? Because my final year of uni has resulted in enough late nights that staying up until 3-5am feels normal.

Could be hypothyroidism. [http://www.webmd.com/women/tc/hypothyroidism-topic-overview] That can cause you to feel cold all the time. You should probably go see your doctor, and a simple blood test would tell you if that's the case.

I would suggest following this guide from Microsoft Support: https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/kb/947215

If that doesn't fix it or isn't useful then show it to a computer expert.

I have a sticky lint roller that's far easier than a piece of tape. But still never gets most of it off. And I recently got a pair of black jeans that just seem to get the tiniest of fur particles on it regardless. Could just be them being brand new and needing a bit of wear and tear to get some of down. it's just such a hassle when preparing to go out only to have to individually remove every bit of hair on either a shirt or pair of pants.
She finds tape much stickier than a lint roller and thus more likely to get the hairs, but I see your point. I can't help you any further than that, I'm afraid.
