I see great arguments why you should. Then I run around as kenway being a pirate and having fun. Then I get sad because I'm not really helping much. Then I get happy, why because when I get angry I just focus on robbing ship and trying to be rich(which is now work, well not work if you love it.) To answer your question, skip revelation, ignore 3 expect for the ending(youtube it) and welcome to The Golden Age of Pirates!

Go in expecting the big buildup to not happen, because it doesn't. Think of it as an afterthought. A spin-off, chronicling the end of Altair and Ezio. Then you'll probably enjoy it, without fruitless hope or expectation souring the experience.

Thanks for the input. I think I will play Revelations just to see closure to Ezio's story, who is the one protagonist in the AC I've cared anything for.
