It wasn't really a cliffhanger though. Sure there were questions and it lead up to another story, but you did come to a conclusion with Altair's story. It's a cliffhanger for Desmond, but I don't really count his as anything but a device to move the story along for Altair to Ezio so we'll just ignore that. Of course Everyone knows AC3/4 is going to be Desmond's escape so Weee!

Though I can also think that for the most part if there is a gun it will be limited to not assassinating people. Again as others have said even if it is it'd be a very short range, loud weapon that would really only be good for last resorts or distractions.

Given that the guards will actually stab hay stacks that you hide in I'm very excited about this game.

Why run at all? The enemies were all so polite in taking turns to attack you. I almost felt like I was taking advantage of their manners.

It does not have guns.
The Assassin (can't remember how to spell his name)launches propelled blades from some sort of mechanised sling attached to his gauntlet.
That is true........I thought is it a gun but then I thought.....nah...didnt have guns then but did he shoot shoot his hidden blade or a mini blade?....

Edit: Unless Da Vinchi.....lol...invented the first hidden/gun....

At the end it was a huge cliff hanger, not to mention with "the bleeding effect" and other side plots, so obviously, im guessing the story is also going to be awesome.
As long as it doesn't contain another 'cliffhanger', I'm pretty much happy with everything.
I think there will be a final one after this one, but after 1, i won't mind an "epic cliffhanger"

It's not a blade launcher.
It's a one-shot hidden gun.
It won't break gameplay, as it is one-shot, will be very scant on ammo, and will be limited by it's range.

first off i always ran in AC (yes always even combined with shove)

and why run at all? because i didn't want yet another fight at some points (due to my excessive running habbit)

Guns were plausible back then. Not very effective compared to a crossbow though. As long as its like realiticly slow but maybe does massive damage something like that then I'm totally for it.

but of course im just hoping that its balanced and not a god-ed out weapon.
Heh, I read that and pictured him taking a shot, missing, and having to reload it with the whole load bullet/pour powder/use ramrod/light/fire sequence. Maybe it could be a quicktime event!!!

What's wrong with him having a hidden gun!?

It's cool and historically correct!

Hitman had silenced mp5s for christs sake, and that made gameplay no easier. Whats wrong with a noisey, inaccurate pistol that fits with the time period and takes 5 mins to reload?
In the trailer there were plenty of fireworks, and early pistols worked on the same basis.
Firearms had been around for around 100 years by that trailers setting.

He's got a gun and it is used for killing people that are future away than his blade can reach.

I like it you could probably kill your assassination targets from the tops of buildings.

How do you explain the loud BANG in the trailer then? Since when does a "mechanised sling" use gunpowder?

BTW the assassin's name is Ezio I think
enzio
No it's Ezio, Ezio auditoire de florence to be exact.

I think the gun will be used for clearing crowds, short range assassinations and an instant kill kinda thing in fights, like the throwing knives but more awesome. Seems logical, I can't wait for this game.
