Well, that was sooner than I thought, and the setting sounds... interesting?

I personally don't like the artwork very much :s

What are your thoughts?

Why am I getting the feeling they'll make the Brits the bad guys and the American revolutionaries the good ones...
And how the hell are they going to explain how Desmond's genetic code got into a Native American?

Just... sigh. Why.

Ubisoft are French, of course they'll jump at the first chance of making Brits bad guys ;)

Yeh, I want to know what happens next to Desmond, and the middle east is much more fun to play around in...

Ezio's son is one of the first on American soil, marries native orrrrrrrrrr Ezio cheats on his wife.

Sticking with the stereotype 8)

One of Ezio's kids goes to the New World and bangs a Native American...How is that confusing to you!?!?

Fairly sure it'd be the latter... -_-

OT: Kinda disappointed... though I am intrigued... time to read up on C18 colonies and America...

Still, who else thinks that they're sure to eek another three games out of this... you know they so would...

As long as we get a new ancestor instead of Ezio, I'll play the shit out of that game. I'm hoping for a Napoleonic Wars setting in a future iteration, though.

Simple. Do you have any idea how many different ancestors that you have. Lets go through a few generations. You have two parents, four grandparents, eight great grandparents, sixteen great-great grandparents and so on. If we go further we get even more ancestors. Also don't forget that America was one of the greatest mixing pots where many different cultures came to even if many left there still were some who stayed and made up America. I mean not all the colonist were not British. There was Irish, French, Dutch, Spainish etc.

Oh boy, am I the only one wondering how Yahtzee is going to take reviewing a game dedicated to slaughtering his own people?

It's an interesting setting and native american heroes isn't something you see much in videogames. People hoping for an Assassin's Creed set during the French Revolution, may have to wait for a while, since the two settings are so close to each other I'm afraid they might only make a reference to it in some side mission for your apprentice or something. xD

Half-native american/half-colonial american, is probably the explanation for it.

Uncharted 3.

And, honestly the American Revolution might actually be a more educational game... at least to the Americans.

Forget where I was reading it the other day but it said there was going to be Templars on both sides, so not completely anti-Brits

Edit: Found it! Linked but it does have potential spoilers!

Why do I get the feeling the "Noble Savage" concept is going to get more screen time than is strictly fair?

I'll give a guesstimation now: 5 or fewer Indian bad guys (most or all of which are driven by revenge) to dozens of colonist/British bad guys wailing on the Indians for no reason.

I mean, it's nice that they're trying to be fair to the Brits and all, but they could afford to give the same sort of even-handed consideration to the Europeans-vs-Natives angle once in a while, too...

I read somewhere that the character would be half native american/half british, so that might give the writers some neutral space to work with.
