Simple. Do you have any idea how many different ancestors that you have. Lets go through a few generations. You have two parents, four grandparents, eight great grandparents, sixteen great-great grandparents and so on. If we go further we get even more ancestors. Also don't forget that America was one of the greatest mixing pots where many different cultures came to even if many left there still were some who stayed and made up America. I mean not all the colonist were not British.
