Three favorites, no order in particular:

- American Revolutionary War
Each have political quagmires, interesting historical figures, and interesting architectural features to run/jump/climb over. Firearms are still exceptionally primitive compared to American Civil War and onward, so being melee-centric is still very much viable. (Muskets were more often used as clubs to kill than as actual guns.) Ocean travel is prevalent during each, so expanding the gameplay to multiple regions is perfectly viable, if the dev team was able.
