Unless they somehow make it into that the protagonist forces Cyanide pills down Hitler and his Emplyees throats no thank you!, I would enjoy it being set in WW1 though, with a low focus on guns ofc, putting in some sort of dodge function who would be important for dodging Rifle fire, as you fight with Sword/bayonet, and what ever pointy object you can find. The Victorian Era London could also be cool, i do like the idea of top hats, and swords concealed in canes, the American revolution is a bit tricky though, but there they can feature how the Assasin creed becomes more globalized.
Yeah i'm pretty much open for everything, but if they make the game crap and break all my hopes and dreams, ill give them hell.

There have been too few games set in WW1, and too many in WW2, it is like WW1 is the unappreciated middle child, and where all the Revelutionary wars are the Accomplishing big brother, and WW2 is the little brother who everybody but the single parent(Hitler), failed too see was a freak of nature.

While vie learned to never rule something out till I see it. I've got to say I agree that Victorian London or something around ghat time would be best. It needs to be set in a time where swords and the like were still a major part. Guns can very much be incoperated. But they need to keep e focus on melee weapons.

It would also be pretty interesting to play a mass murderer, a person who is thought to be evil but is either bad at his job and a few killings got found or is actually evil but fighting for a good cause.

Mind you, since one aspect of the series is based around the inaccuracies of history since it's been distorted by the Templars (take THAT all you people who moan about the game's history all the time!), they could somehow manipulate the ancestor to become that person in the eye of the public.

I dunno, it's definitely my number one setting though.

They say they want to take us to places that are completely fresh, and I feel WW1 is just too similar to WW2, whether that's true or not.

I am not a history nerd so I don't notice any historical problems, I do like how there is atleast referances to it though.

I seem to remember that in "The Truth" in AC II to find out that the major leaders during WW2 were working together, and that Hitler was supposed to kill a double and meet up with Churchill and the rest, but he hadn't shown up, and it seems that the Assassins had gotten to him.

WW1 is in no way similar to WW2, the second world war was driven by hate, with nazis hating Jews, The old and the weak, and the allies hating the Nazis for hating the blahblahblah.

By the end of the war Hitler was Exhausted, and disillusioned, he was commanding non existent troops, and so, he was a wreck. though he did care about those in that bunker with him, offering them cyanide pills and such. He might have been Evil and all that but at the same time he was actually a caring man, believe it or not. and please don't give me crap about how a man who could slay so many innocent people could be caring, the world contains many oddballs.

Yes, this would be the best possibly solution. Its early enough where Blades are still very common weapons(at least outside the military) and its far enough in the future to have an entirely different feel.

I think one set during the American revolution would be cool. It could showcase how the assassins support individual liberties and fight for the people. In brothehood during (spoiler Warning)the memory sequences from subject 16 it shows that the assassins were behind the rise of democracy in the world.

That also sounds like a pretty epic idea, for the same reasons as Victorian England.

This is stupid, WW1 had crappy and extremely loud guns in a battlefield rather than urban environment. I can literally off the top of my had think of a whole pile of better ideas. My first choice would be some other cool time period where stabbing is the primary kill method, maybe Victorian England, or even better feudal Japan (ninjas and assassins are basically the same deal, and there's nothing that should really compel the series to make their next protagonist post-Ezio on the historical timeline). Or if they absolutely must incorporate guns, urban Nazi-occupied countries or Stalinist Russia would make much more sense. Although really if they want guns they should just put AC3 in modern times with Desmond as the sole protagonist using spinter-cellesque tech and gear.

England is a no go the Catholic Church had no power no Catholic Church no reasonable back drop for Templars. They also can't proceed too far without vastly altering gameplay. However the French Revolution might work they could work the Templars in as trying to save Catholicism and it would be cool to see what they would do with Robespierre.

I think you mean Victorian England is a no go.
England is still possible, pre-Protestant Church England.
But there were/are still Catholics in England so Templars could still be there.

Also, are we allowed to go back in time further than the crusades? Perhaps pre-Catholocism and discover that the Templars invented the Catholic church or something, perhaps we play as Marcus Brutus or someone else involved in Ceasars assassination.

There were still Catholics but not enough imo to justify Templar presence unless they were the underdog side which has been the role of the assassains thus far. Last going back in time wouldn't make any since plot wise.
