Well I just finished it recently and to be perfectly honest, my reaction to the ending was one of...really that's it? The credits then roll and that's when things got interesting if only for around 5 seconds, where you can clearly hear Desmond groaning and people saying quickly get him back online (or something like that).
So we can only presume that Desmond is still actually trapped in the Animus in the Templars stronghold or something of the like. Just to add in more food for thought, if you look at some of the things that are written in your database, one in particular saying something like "unless we are in a dream too...", which pretty much settles it.
Just wondering what you guys thought about the way they are going with the series, I was worried last year when they did this whole extra-terrestrial stuff but this one (at least at the end) it relatively made sense.
I still worry that the climax of the series is going to be destroyed by either the dumbing down of the series or a continuous array of yearly sequels.
