I really want to believe that Lucy is a double spy (nothing that uncommon if anybody remembers Snape from HP ? ^^) Think of what Subject 16 said: "She is not who you think she is". Couldn't that refer to Lucy ? Juno knows the future and knows about Lucy beeing a double spy. So she 'erased' the danger and lets Desmond carry the plan through.

Just a theory (of course). I wanted to throw the Subject 16 quoting into the discussion ^^

I REALLY enjoy the AC games, by far the best story going on in computer games at the moment. One thing that stood out to me and I haven't seen in the speculation on the any of the forums is the statement to desmond that basically the date is much later than he knows it to be. All the speculation of there being a son of desmond and the Eve (to be found), it just seemed possible that there may even be a descendant of desmond reliving desmonds memories in a future reality. There are certainly alot of possibilities and Ubisoft seem to have set themselves up to create a fair number of sequels in the AC series, I hope so anyway as I think rounding this story up in any less than another three or four games will leave too many unanswered, unconsidered and forgotten questions leaving us feeling similar to the dissapointing TV series like LOST, Prison Break and Heroes.

We call this a cliff hanger. A set up that leaves the audience confused and wondering about the fates of the main characters and the world this all takes place in. In video games, Cliff Hangers are used as a way to set up sequels and if you haven't quite yet realized it.

Its an accepted way of sparking controversy and getting people hyped up for the next one. Heck, just look around, its got everyone in here talking about Assassin's Creed 3 before its even released.

Trust me when I say that you're not gonna get a decent theory. I've tried making sense of Cliff-Hanger endings and have often resolved to finding theories on the internet. I even seen theories regarding Assassin's Creed 1's cliff hanger and one suggestion involved 3 islands in Japan (That one couldn't have been farther off.)

Its best to wait sequel comes out if you want a straight answer. Until then, you're not gonna get much more.

The ending of Brotherhood was such a mindfuck -_-

But very good in its own right. With all the speculations going around, its hard to take any stance on it.

We can't forget Shaun and Rebbecca in the end there though. I mean, we see Desmond collapse[se and Lucy likely dead, but that's it. So what the hell are Shaun and Rebbecca going to make of this?

There was something in there about Lucy possibly being a Templar, although Juno only mentions who she's talking about by "she", so it was never clear. Subject 16 also says something about it, but again he only mentions "she", and that could mean Minerva, Juno, Eve or Lucy, although Lucy seems most likely.

I can't really remember what she said, finished it a couple of months ago. I did like it though; infuriating, but well done.

So I just finished AC: Brotherhood. The ending was crazy, but left me really confused. Obviously I need to say some spoilers to discuss the ending so...
I really didn't get much of it at all, especially why the "god" had him stab Lucy. One theory I read online said that it's because it's not the sun that will cause the disaster but Desmond's SON. And so because of this, he had to get rid of Lucy so they wouldn't have a child. To me that sounds pretty crazy, so I don't really trust it.
Anyone have a better ending explanation?
It's that Desmond and ONLY Desmond can go 'through'. Like only he can save the world and anyone else will muck it up.

Anyone else ever see the Scene when Desmond says "Eeey, Whassamatta you Altair?" To the statue? Everyone I know missed that scene, and it was the best moment of my life xD
I saw it and laughed, but I didn't get what was racist about it. Was he imitating a Middle Eastern accent? It sounded like Italian to me.

It would be funny if they end up still being frozen there, but they might have been captured by the people at the credits (assassins or Templars).

also, when shaun is saying two of the symbols (the phygian cap and the masonic eye) are only found together in one circumstance, he would be referring to the decleration of the rights of man and of the citizen, which was the result of the french revolution in 1789 (possibly setting up for ACIII?)
that makes sense.
you know why I came up to agree with this?
look, the year is 1789. if we would right it like that - '89, then we could multiply
8*9 = 72

now does this number seem to be familiar, huh?

There are so many spiritual/metaphysical subliminal messages in this game that have standing in what a lot of people consider truth. If you guys want to REALLY get mindfucked with everything that happens at the end with Godly people of the first civilization youtube "Spirit Science". there are 12 videos there that show some ancient REAL knowledge that have been passed down from egyption scholars to tibetan scholars to mayan scholars etc. Lots of those cool geometric symbols incorporated in the game like the triangles especially metatrons cube (google it) at the end of AC2, have basis in actual ancient spiritual beliefs.

Check that series out guys might give you whole new perspective on the subject matter in assassins creed!

Is it just me or does the whole fact that 14 + 19 + 14 + 20 + 14 + 21 not = 72 but 102 throw anyone else off? Also, the whole Lucy might be a Templar thing is just a distraction from what actually is happening. Ezio clearly had a thing for a chick named Christina who was important enough to give four memories to in the game. Most likely going to be the descendant of Eve Imo. Lucy was just a chick who Desmond wanted to hook up with, the Gods or Aliens said no and had him kill her to stop it from beginning, since Lucy said in the sewers that she would show Desmond that she knows how to "have fun."

Last thing, Desmond really can not be thrown away from the Assassins Creed games being that he is a direct descendant of Adam and able to use the PoE and able to hear the aliens when no one else could. He clearly has an important part to play in what ever ubisoft has planned.
