Just found this little piece about the DS version: :

http://www.1191ad.co.uk/link.html?i=PzN1wD

Not really sure if i want it at the moment, but its supposed to be a prequel to the original game on 360, PS3 etc. so will probably give a little back story on Altair along with some new weapons.

Hopefully wont be as repetitive with the missions and not really sure how the gameplay of it will work...

post your thoughts

Hey they stole my idea regarding the grapple-hook!

But seriously, this can't be that good. Assasins Creeds major selling point was the freedom. You can't have that on the DS, not with the pixelated 3D-graphics anyway. And why does the guards have health bars now? And why explosives? This won't work and I should know, because I once worshiped the original game.

Yeah, im wondering how the gameplay will work out, some people were saying it'd be like 2.5D, and I doubt itll be as smooth with the free running as the first game...

This...disgusts me. You can't make a sandbox game like AC into a DS title. And what's that? A grappling hook? Where's the boomerang and slingshot?

Don't forget the explosives they're putting in aswell! rofls... hopefully they make the missions a little less repetitive aswell, even though i cant really see myself buying this for DS to be honest

The last 2 to 3 hours of the console version sucked harder than a vacuum cleaner, and most of the rest was boring. Fuck the DS version; it's a pixelated cash-in.

No sandbox games on the DS? I'm sorry, but another game with the initials AC begs to differ.

Regardless, the game is pure hit and miss. Phantom Hourglass was the same way in the "How will this work at ALL?" phrase thrown around a bit, but the controls ended out okay.

Either way, I hope Yahtzee gets his hands on it and tears the game a new asshole.

This is interesting...I hadn't heard ANYTHING about this title and yet it's coming out in "a few short weeks", I am intrigued. I doubt very much that it'll offer the freedom that Assassins Creed did, at least without compromising valuable FPS. It'll most likely be played for more story. Cheers for bringing this up! I'm gonna keep an eye on this :D

I had also not heard of this game coming out until recently. What that usually means is that they patched the game together quickly and it's going to be a piece of sh*t.
