Excuse me.darksaiyan said:--but I still see the story as interesting - it's well thought out, in the way of Dan Brown I guess.
What?
I stayed well clear of this topic, least until I heard this. You are comparing the horribly predictable (as in, start playing, know whats going on after the first "subtle" hint is dropped) to Dan Brown?
Are you ... serious?
You are saying the haphazardly stitched together Assassin's Creed 2 conspiracy that is built upon random famous art combined with a golden orb, and a backdrop of the done-to-death Illuminati vs. Templar and Aliens created humanity is... is comparable to Dan Brown? Its as though they took everything they could get their fingers on and mashed it together in a big pile of stinkin' mud.
Now, I don't mind me a story thats been told before, no need to re-invent the wheel, long as you make it interesting. I don't mind me conspiracy theories either. But UbiSoft is suffering from a bad case of badly told conspiracies. *shudders as she thinks back to Splinter Cell*
Ugh.
Dan Brown. Not the biggest fan of him, his book read the same after you read two of them, but least he tells 'em well..
Site-note: I liked the simple stories that followed Altair and Ezio enough to play the games... but every-time I got yanked out of that and had to face Desmond again I found myself wanting to be somewhere else.
