It appear the next one will star a Half Native American-Half English Assassin will contain tree climbing, animals to hunt, and a new game engine. It appears The only complaints people have about the game are it being set during the American Revolution and they think it will be all about the pure Americans fighting the tyrant English, for those people I just want to remind you that Ubisoft is a French company and as everyone know the French absolutely adore both Americans and Englishmen so I'm sure they'll both be portrayed fairly. Remember the games always begin with this warning "Inspired by historical events and characters, this work of fiction was designed, developed and produced by a multicultural team of various religious faiths and beliefs."

Don?t worry you will be killing people on both sides of the conflict, like in the first assassins creed with the Muslims and the crusaders.

EDIT: Some info on the game http://gamingbolt.com/assassins-creed-3-info-blowout-new-engine-protagonist-information-new-camera-animus-3-0

Ahh, was just about to post this, I'm glad I checked first.

Unfortunately it was all pre-animated, and you pretty much could gather everything in here by the pictures that were leaked out over the internet.

But then again, I'm liking the direction they're taking this game with the new outdoor type environment. It looks like it's going to advance in the way that 2 was very different from 1. I'm hopeful for this game.

Why do I get the feeling that there's going to be some incredibly incompetent media firestorm over the fact you're a native American killing people back in the revolution?

I hope the wolves shown are actually in the games. Maybe bears and some other animals. That could lead to some interesting situations. Especially if you could incorporate them into assassinations.

Like if you had a meat pouch you could lure a pack of wolves into an enemy camp as a distraction.

Oh lord, I hoped they wouldn't go for the stereotypical Americans as Freedom loving perfect underdogs verses the evil English troops of Satan from HELL!

I had hoped that Ass Creed would be better than that, actually try for some thoughtful grey on grey morality like it would have actually been, but no, its The Patriot with a bit of Freerunning added.

What's the bet that halfway through he meets some black people and treats them completely honourably, while the English try to massacre and turn them all into slaves.

Hunting and gathering pelts is apparently a pretty big deal in this game. They're putting a lot more emphasis on the forest, with being able to free run on trees now.

Why do you immediately assume that? They emphasized in the notes they released that it was going to be a very grey issue, with good guys and bad guys on each side.

Plus, it's a videogame dealing with the Brits from the 1700s. No one would really call them the "good guys" back then. Cool your American hatred for a second there and wait till you see more about the game.

The assassin is a Native American...whose going to be doing killing on both sides.

And if what I heard is true, Washington is a Templar with a Piece of Eden.

So not entirely sure how that makes the Americans the good guys when their leader is brainwashing them. And like it or not, the Brits were sort of dicks back then, so...

Ah, I just got done reading the notes DPeteD posted, they emphasis that it won't be one-sided either way. I had't seen that before I watched the video, and the trailer seemed to portray the exact opposite.
I wasn't calling the Brits the good guys (cause they almost certainly weren't) I was saying that I was hoping it just wouldn't have painted the Brits as absolute villains with no redeeming qualities and the Americans as the absolute heroes, which is never true in history, and would be a disappointing step for a game series which has pulled this off reasonably well in the previous installments.

That's a pretty cool twist actually, unfortunately none of that came across in the trailer which seemed to have all the moral sublety of Killzone 3 (I was half expecting the Twin Hitlers to walk out of the trees wearing redcoats)

Now that's cleared up lets get on to the important issues: Should we rename "Freerunning" to "Treerunning"?

A bit of history: England were sort of being mean and all to the Americans, who just wanted independence from the king who wanted to control their lives an ocean away.

Treerunning it is.

And I move that we call killing bears a bearsassination.
