Istanbul (not Constantinople) and Ezio, eh?

Not what I was hoping for, but I'm sure it will be good.

Damnit, I was gonna do that!

[small]Now it's Turkish delight on a moonlit night[/small]

OT: I like Ezio but I was wishing for someone new or at least Altair, oh well. It's still gonna be awesome and I'm still get play the hell out of it!!

More Ezio, really?
I mean, I like him, yeah, but it's getting a bit old now. Seriously, I don't just mean the idea, Ezio himself must be, what, coming on 50?

Take note, Kingdom Hearts team, THIS is how you do a series right without making gamers buy a different console for each "sidegame but not really since the story in each of these 'sidegames' is integral to the overall plot."

Every game that truly MATTERS is in the same consoles as the prior games. Project Legacy, the PSP and DS spinoffs, the motion comic, all of that? Icing. Unnecessary, purely optional ICING. I feel like I'm just as much in the loop as anyone else when it comes to the actual driving plot of the series.

OT: Ezio again?? At least we're back in Arabic looking landscapes. A part of me hopes for Yakuza-esque distractions to make the world feel like it's more than a playground where I'm not even allowed to assassinate whoever I want without getting desynced...

looks like a white beard in the screenshot, hard to believe hes gonna be bounding over the city.

OT: I'm really hoping they finally work some co-op in somewhere, although it will be nice to finish ezio's story off

The article seems to be missing the point that we will also be able to control Altair a lot more again as well as Desmond.

This.
Anyway, Ezio is cool! And if you don't think so, go nuts with Altair and Desmond.

Sweet now I get to visit Istanbul in real life and in Virtual form in less than a year possibly.

Also I know a bunch of Turks9including myself) who are going to be interested in this.

Agreed. Ezio is the best, but I also liked both Altair and Desmond. I think it will be interesting, because Ezio it seems will be older, his story simply continued in this part, but they brought back Altair for some reason too, and of course Desmond and his Scooby gang's story must be continued in some kind of new direction, especially after the ending of Brotherhood.

Oh and with my predicting powers I know Yahtzee will bring up in the AC : Revelations Zero Punctuation in the future, that Ezio should have been dropped :D

Ezio again? How goddamn old is the bastard during the events of this up coming game? He was 47 during the Da Vinci DLC. Shouldn't he be some kind of dirty old man by now? Also how long is Ubisoft going to release this bloody franchise annually for? Surely they must have some other IP's.

So wait, this ISN'T AC3 then, it's gonna be another Assassins Creed 2.5? Either way they just better give a satisfying explanation as to what the hell happened at the end of bro-hood.

Ubisftshould change the name of the franchise. How many people actually get to play stealthily in the Ass Cred games? After every major Assassination the whole city is automatcally alerted and you can't do anything to prevent it. IThere is no point of being stealthy at all, you might as well rambo everything because the silly combat system that is basically 'parry then counterkill' will allow it.

I didn't get Ass Creed Bros because of the repetitiveness tat the second game thrust on m so if sstuff changed I wouldn't know. Its not like I can rely on fanboy reviesws from IGN for insight.

Assassin's Creed: "Hope you like Ezio" Edition.

Seriously, guys, another spinoff? You'd better be working on Number Three in the meantime, 'cause trotting out the same tired old horse over and over every year isn't going to cut it. There's only so much you can do with this guy, and this setting; you're going to run out of cool gadgets and interesting monuments eventually. Your gaming audience is ready to move on! Show us feudal Japan! Industrial England! Heck, even revolutionary America would be nice!

Also, we need some new characters. Ezio is nice, but he's also a bland everyman who happens to be an assassin. Give us a new, interesting character - perhaps one who actively strives against the role he's given? Or a martial character who has to learn to be stealthy? How about a female assassin? An African assassin (in Africa, even! The kingdom of Mali needs some attention.)

That said, I think I know one thing they're doing this time around: Multiple characters, multiple time periods. Ezio is following Altair's footsteps, right? What if you have segments where you (as the player and Desmond) can switch characters and time periods - traversing the same city from two different viewpoints? Solve puzzles (mostly involving finding clues in different time periods)? Assassinate extra characters? Run around various buildings-under-construction?

There IS potential here - but this is it. No more free rides. If you want our money, you need to earn it.

Desmond and Altair will also be PC's in this game.

Well, I was hoping to be introduced to a new player character, but Ezio is still awesome. The problem is that he's too established now. Ezio's growth through AC2 was what made the story great to me.
