I really don't care about Desmond, tbh.
All the other games in the series, the Desmond bits have just been "let me back into the real game already"
Same here. They really need to work on the chemistry between the present day characters. It's always more of a distraction than anything compelling to me.
I agree. It's not even just the chemistry, really. I feel like all the "real life" situations are anti-climactic. It was way too easy to hop in the van and leave the hideout at the end of AC2. They were just looking for an excuse to get us somewhere where we could hop back in the Animus. I really hope they step up the gameplay for Desmond. I want to actually fight Abstergo, not just kick them around a little bit. I mean, they weren't even trying very hard to stop Desmond from getting away. Again.
The only time I was really intrigued with the Desmond story was in the first game. If you explored, you got to hack into all the computers and read all of the Templars' emails. It was pretty exciting, trying to put the pieces of the puzzle together yourself. But the excitement blacked out in AC2
