As someone who very much disliked Black Flag, I'm very excited for the series returning to parkour on large historical buildings in grand cities.
I'm not excited about this turning into a yearly installment, it just means the games will be shorter and shallower, I guess my dream for another AC II or Brotherhood is still not going to come true, but at least it won't be set in a time as unfitting as III or BF in my opinion.

So like, does Ubisoft have four simultaneous assassins creed games in production at all times? They say it has been in production for three years, and they have said something similar about earlier ones. Yet they are released once a year..

I cannot understand how people can still be exited about a new AC game. I gave the Black Flag a chance, because of the free roaming pirate's life, but could not bring me to finish the first "follow these guys over the roof tops"-mission in the very first town. The worst 40? I've spent on Steam, counting the games that did not work because of hardware issues. I cannot see the french setting bringing anything to this franchise... But since it makes money, why kill a cash cow?
"A la" literally translates to "has the" or "with the", so Dragonlayer is using it correctly. Colloquially it can sometimes be used as "as with".Mr.Tea said:

On topic, I was sure Ubisoft was going to churn out a couple more chapters in the Edward Kenway saga. But I guess they didn't think he was as likable as Ezio.

Shame he managed to piss off the bourgeoisie so much, as well as being soft-spoken and indecisive therefore appearing weak, or he may have gone down as a greater leader than his grandfather.
Needless to say, I can't wait to storm the Bastille.

Honestly, it's been about 15 years since I've had to speak French. Though when I did, I managed to get around Paris, Pau and Bordeaux without pissing off too many people (at least, not because of mistranslation!)
I do remember "a la" being a contraction for something. Though my hazy memory recalled it being a short form of "a la mode" and not a la manier de".
Anyway, in all sincerity, I appreciate the refresher in both French and humilty.

Though I would say so about Canada as a whole, as our education systems put far more emphasis on the French Revolution and European history in general than American schools do.
Having studied the revolution quite a bit, I think it is a far more effective period than the American Revolution when it comes to an Assassin's Creed story. There is far more moral ambiguity in it and the lack of the racial themes present in AC3 I think better fit AC.
The French Revolution brought down the oppressive reign of the monarchy, but the results were far from positive. It would do well to highlight that the assassins' freedom seeking methods are far from flawless. In fact, I wouldn't be surprised if the protagonist is a Templar working against the revolution and the ensuing reign of terror. It would be the perfect time for such a thing.
