Asura's Wrath, new game from Capcom and .hack// team

More pre TGS goodies, yay!

Apparently, Capcom and CyberConnect2(the creators of the .hack// series, as well as the Naruto fighting games), have apparently teamed up for a new project knows as Asura's Wrath, which is looking like a heavily mythological based beat-em up for the PS3 and Xbox 360.


It looks mighty interesting to me, from the video, you can see the mixture of QTEs, as well as a God of War/beat-em up style of gameplay going on. Though I don't have a PS3, this looks like a title worth keeping an eye on.

What does anyone else think about this new release/information? Opinions and Feelings?

From what I have heard, no =S
Only on the PS3, and from what I just learned the Xbox 360, but who knows, it could happen.

Asura calls on Hindu mythology, the Asura's were the divine entities that would go on to become gods (in most cases anyway). I believe the short haired one is Hanuman, the Monkey God, and this is the invasion of the Demon Lord's island to rescue the god kings wife. Basically, Hanuman is assaulting an undefeatable army alone.

Because Hanuman. Is that fucking hardcore.

I was kinda hoping to see some gameplay alongside the trailer. Still, the trailer was pretty badass, in my opinion.

Damn that looked awesome, and as a .hack// fanboy it would definetly be something I would want to check out. I'm looking forward to hearing more about this game.

All of them, Cyber Connects 2 is a subsidiary team.

Regardless these guys gave me F*** yeah G.U. game play and F*** yeah original series story, so this is in my books

This game will live or die on gameplay alone. It's very pretty and ultra violent, if it controls as well as Devil may Cry, God of War or Ninja Gaiden I will be all over this.

Reminds me of Godhand, actually.

It'd need to get a lot more silly and less superpoweredbadassroidragers to be as good as Godhand, but it does seem somewhat familiar, with less thumb ruining button mashing.
