I personally think 23 is young to get married or start a family but that is just my take on it. I will be 21 in October and all of my friends are either single or in a relationship, but no marriages or kids. Considering we all want to finish university and get stable jobs I doubt any of us will be getting married or having kids any time soon.

My Brother is soon to be 27 and even he isn't married to his girlfiend yet. I really don't think you should worry about it. Marriage and kids is something personal and you should only do it if you and your partner are happy. No one should feel pressured or forced into it by friends or family, or any one else either.

The average age for someone to getnanchild here in holland is over 30, so I, being 18, still have a while before I start to worry.

but seriously, all kewl things happen before children and after that it's just contentment.

Each person's life is going to be different. I'm at about the same age, but I am living with my fiance. We have planned to have children, but after a miscarriage scare, we've decided to push it back a few years until one of us has a degree. WE don't want to have to struggle to put food on the table, and we want to be able to fully provide for our kids.

Well im also 23 and i started noticing several months ago and currently im single i dont even have someone that i would consider being in a long term relationship with. It isnt be lack of searching its that its hard to find a beautiful apple which is not rotten to the core on the inside or a plum which dosent has a heavy stone holding it down to earth. But yeah when i hear or see happy couples getting married its not easy.

I'm in the same situation. My friends, whom are mostly in some form of higher education like me, are either single or have girlfriends (about a 50/50 ratio i'd say). And they will probably be worrying about finding a stable job after graduating before considering settling down and raising a family.

I'd expect my friends to be settling down, marrying and having children etc, after i turn 25.

Edit: Also, i'll be turning 21 in October as well, my birthdays on the 8th.
