Half Life 2 when Gordon Freeman arrives in Breen's office via the Teleporter. "I'm almost certain it was...Gordon Freeman".
I can't explain why but that moment made me love the game.

I fell in loving with Resident evil 4, after I played through the opening scene.

It was just so exciting, dropped off in the middle of a village, left to wonder on my own.

I thought my first opponent would be just one or two enemies, but nope. I was attacked by at least 15 or more villagers, including a guy with a chainsaw.

After defeating them, and the villagers went on their way, I thought to myself.

"I am going to love this game."

GTA San Andreas.
I wouldn't say i love the game (because of all the bugs) but the ability to fly a jet on the board walk and run over everyone IN AN AIRPLANE!
Yeah I'd say I'm fond of that game.
Prototype as well cuz you can... Well I don't think i should go into detail.. Fun game...

This one's gonna get alot, but Silent Hill 2 (Spoiler Alert) The hidden ending with the dog. It was more than the collective bizarrenis the rest of the game had put together... And I loved it
I still play the game and will never stop.

Since I'm not good with favorites, here are the top 3 games I can think of off the top of my head:

Metroid Prime - Stepping out of the ship into Tallon Overworld for the first time. It was just an "Awww shit, Metroid in 3D. Let's do this." moment.

TWEWY - The end when the plot came together and after beating the final boss, it ended with a message that was much more than just the "you save the day" endings of most games.

Portal - This one is harder to pinpoint, because it was just AWESOME all the way though, but I think the song at the end pushed it from a really great game to one of the best ever.

I don't know why I love the legend of Zelda series so much. I think it's just that right mix of action/adventure/side mission gameplay that draws me in

Pretty much all the games I play are my favorite at some point.

Deus Ex: when I realized how much it took from real life (templars, illuminati, governments that use terrorist attacks and fear to control populations)

Half-life: when I figured out how to beat off a zombie with a crowbar

Half-life2: when I saw the detail and fine graphics

KoTOR: when I realized how important the story element could be

Mass Effect: When I saw how immersive it was

The Witcher: When I realized this game would treat me like an adult

Dragon Age: when I felt like Alistair was a real friend

Mass Effect2: When I saw so many old characters popping back up

Ehh, too many to mention them all.

Just Cause 2: Going on a mission to save someone from a mountain base that started with blowing the shit out of that place with a chopper.

And then I fought ninjas and chased hmvees over water to a submarine.

Win.

The moment I saw this:

For those who did not play Tomb Raider 1 at its first release I don't expect you to understand the sheer scale of adventure the game offered, but for me it was the moment I realised that this might just be something special, and it was.

When I saw the opening credits in Mass Effect 1, where the character I created is standing next to the window, looking out in space, and Captain Anderson, Admiral Hackett and the Ambassador are talking about you (the origin choices I chose), as if you're a real person. That was so cool.

Also, when I realized Shep actually talked. In an RPG. W - O - W.

You screwed me over on that in Dragon Age, Bioware. Fix it for 2 please.
