I agree with Highlander, not sure about Alien, but Terminator 2 I actually think is better than Terminator 1.Axolotl said:Highlander should have ended after the first film.
Same goes for Alien to a lesser extent and Terminator.

Aliens was a good movie, as was Terminator 2. But they could have been movies in their own franchise, Aliens especially while good on it's own weakened the first movie and would have done fine without it.Gravyshanks the Pirate said:I don't know, I thought Aliens was pretty good. -snip-Axolotl said:Highlander should have ended after the first film.

As for Highlander, I'm absolutely with you there. And Terminator really could have ended on the first or second, I liked both.
YOU ARE WRONG SIR... it should have ended on the first thoughtTerminate421 said:Twilight should have ended on twilight (The first one, hell it should have ended on the first sentence of the book)
That's a good point, Aliens certainly had a different feel to it than Alien did. More of a science fiction military horror feel than the simple "Oh god, we're trapped on a space ship with an alien and it's killing everyone, what the hell do we do?" sort of feel that the first one portrayed so well.Axolotl said:Aliens was a good movie, as was Terminator 2. The films after those in both series were utterly worthless though.
But in general when the series starts repeating the same story/motions and is living off of fanboys and the rose colored glasses.FinalDream said:Even though I am a huge fan of Stargate, I think SG1 should have ended before the Ori story arc in seasons 9 and 10. There are way to many similarities between them and the goa'uld.

This. It either means they've told all the story they have to tell, or they just don't want to work on it anymore. And when the person who made it doesn't want any more to do with it, it's never a good sign... there are exceptions, but they are few and far between.
I think Scrubs should've ended after season four it was just weak after thatKing_Burger said:Scrubs should have ended after season 8 season 9 was a complete joke and rip off.
Same goes for that 70s show the moment Ashton Kutcher and Topher Grace left it became ridonkulous and an insult to the original show.
