So, in short, you're saying "Once again, Atlus is awesome.".

I am totally fine with this bit of news.

I am so ready. I am as ready for this as the Batman is ready for anything. C'mon ATLUS, reveal it!

To be fair, they announced like 2 years ago that they were working on it.
So, predicted timeline: Japanese Release: 2014. American Release: 2015. European Release: 2020, if at all.

I really hope it's on a HOME console and NOT the 3DS or PSV.

Playing JRPGs on those tiny screens bugs the hell out of me anymore.

If I can play both genders, I'll be happy....really, really getting into Persona 3 recently. It's the first one I've tried from the series and, frankly, it's pretty awesome.

I was gonna type this!
I hope they're both bubbly and likable in opposed to a lively chick and a depressing dude.

Persona 4 next? I liked it much more than Persona 3.

I was worried when I read that their parent company filed for some sort of bankruptcy. Well, I still am worried, but it's better than hearing that they're selling off their IPs.

Welp, I'm still looking forward to it. Now I wonder if Atlus and co will just make it for the PS4, or will it be for the Xbox One as well?
Not that it matters, I'm getting a PS4 at some point anyway. XD

If we are lucky they might reveal it this year, if we are not ... probably next year.
Either way, I think fans are going to be pumped up and pants will be shat.

And as you other guys say, I hope they have both playable genders. (Maybe with customization and voices if we are lucky?)

I would, and very much want to, but I don't own a PS2 or Vita. D:

Well it was announced ages ago and they have only just registered a domain name which still means bugger all as they havent shown or announced anything. Does anyone know what has happened with the Index Corporation and its finances are Atlus up for grabs? I heard rumours Nintendo were looking to buy them but its so far unsubstantiated.

That would be funny though Nintendo buys Atlus now all Atlus games are WiiU/3DS exclusive. That would cause some raging. It would make sense for Sony to buy them though imo and hell maybe release there games in Europe in a timely fashion but that wont happen....idiots.

Can't wait! Just please put it on a home console, Atlus, I don't care which one.

My assumption is that if it's shown it'll be at Tokyo Game Show.

Oh joy... I would be excited but, well, I have to dodge spoilers for at least a year after the American release because Atlus is the best at EU publishing. Then there's going to be that **** who posts "vague" spoilers in the very title of a thread... I overthink everything so don't even give me an inkling of a spoiler thank you very much.

I wonder if it's a mystery sort of game again? I could see them keeping all that for Persona 4: Insert Subtitle Here because they did end P4A with a to be continued and P5 could be a fresh new location with all new characters. I think that would be best.

Literally putting myself into a Hype Free mindset until a solid EU release date is set. Ah, sorry the second set EU release once they inevitably notice they haven't pissed off the fans in the EU enough yet.

While registering a domain doesnt mean too much, companies do it all the time and living in England means no matter when it comes out I'll be waiting longer aswell (looking at you persona 4 Arena!)

Couldn't help getting excited none the less that maybe, just maybe, there'll be some concrete news coming

Considering that the Index Corporation which owns Atlus has filed bankruptcy I doubt that Persona 5 would be released before that is settled, furthermore at the moment I hope that Atlus has just been sitting on the name and hasn't really done anything with it because Index can be considered the Japanese version of EA for the shit they pull.
