I bought some Sennheiser RS116 II's yesterday regularly 120, but I got them on sale for 80, and used a 40$ gift card... so they only cost 40$ out of pocket. They seem pretty good so far. Much better than my JVC's from 15 years ago.

Edit: Wow, apparently everyone and their dog owns Sennheiser brand headphones.

sennheiser RS-160's. Wireless, because I use them for practically everything... I like to stick my iPod into it, and wonder around the house... although it sucks if I want to skip a song!! :p

The sound is awesome on them... not as good as some wired ones of the same price, but you'd not expect them to. Had them a couple of years, and I love them!

I have Sennheiser wired ear buds too, for out and about with the iPod, but I don't know what model. They are awesome too! I will never get anything but Sennheiser now!

The ones that came with my iPhone. Unless you submerge them in battery acid, they last up to a lifetime, and when they don't, the awesome warranty i got from AT&T will let me replace them for free. Though I have been interested in a skullcandy headset with built-in subs...

I came here thinking the discussion was for headsets, not headphones...

Well in that case I don't use any, 'cause this is my damn house and I will listen to whatever I want to at whatever volume I want to. I haven't used headphones since I lived with my folks.

I've got jbuds.
They're pretty decent headphones. It's definitely worth paying the extra $10 to get these rather than normal headphones from target or something.

I'm using Sneakerhead j5s right now. People mistake them for beats, which they basically are except a lot cheaper. Hooray for not paying extra for a brand.
Props for the Operation Ivy avatar!

Was present, they've grown on me.

After I found out there was a carefully hidden fix for some issues with vent, now they sound very nice, you just kind of have to wear them in a bit since they start off a bit tight.

I can't stand buds.

I have a logitech gaming headset I bought a while ago, the sound is good and it's comfortable. All I want in a headset is for it to not irritate my ears.

shure se215 Love em. Replaceable cables, for those of us that break cables on occasion.

Presently I'm using these:

Picked them up for a reasonable price and they don't sound too bad. I much prefer headsets to earphones these days.

Currently I'm using a pair of Motorolla Bluetooth headsets. I think the model is S307.

I had a nice pair of Sony over-ear headphones, but they were ruined when my building caught fire. I don't do much headphone listening at home, so I don't need them. And when I'm out, Anything better than my Bluetooth set is kind of wasted.

Sennheiser HD 280 Pro

I know nothing about headphones, but these were a Christmas present from my dad a couple years back and he's something of an audiophile. Knowing him, they're probably top-of-the-line (or were), but expensive. He does not shy from spending money for the best gadgets.

Beats by Dre. I came off $4 earplugs to these and I was pretty darn amazed.

Although from what I heard (and agree with) they probably aren't top of the line and are overpriced. Your paying for the design and the name. Audiophiles look elsewhere.

Still, they are the best looking headphones I have ever seen.

Red Wicked Audio Reverbs and Gold SkullCandy Lowriders. Both work really well and were about 30 dollars each.

A pair of these bad boys. My parents gave them to me a few months ago. They plug into the holes in head and you crank 'em up and then music bleeds out your spine.

eh, i use some random skullcandy earbuds for my ipod, but my plantronics headset has better sound quality, just less portability.

Biggest factor in the direct-to-ear sound producing devices that i buy: cost, as i only recently gained a decent income

For when I'm out I have some cheap, crappy earbuds that were about $5. When at home, I have Turtlebeach X12 headphones, though I don't use it JUST for music, obviously. They were $72, on special/sale.

Gigaware headphones with a built in mic. Because my laptop mic sucks balls. And I got them for $5 from Radio Shack. Yay for finding gift cards in your room?

I'm looking into getting these since my last Denon pair just kicked it.
Problem is I will have to have them shipped from the US to get them for a reasonable price.
