Can't wait for the technology, but I'm probably jailbreaking it as it looks like Google are focusing on the wrong aspects of it, like voice control & social media. Smartphones already do that.

Id be more then happy with just a compass and a life bar. Maybe an ammo gauge too.

Not that i use guns often or anything How dare you think that! You cad!

But i can see something like this being partially believable. Maybe with a pair of goggles or a helmet and a projector hooked up to your mobile device or PC/laptop. Sure, everyone would walk around looking like a member of Daft Punk or maybe a Skrillex wannabe, but i think its possible.

I believe Razer did an April Fools joke like this. Anyway, don't want. Even if they could implement them into my glasses, glasses that change 'intensity' is something I want, I don't really like this. First off, privacy. Secondly, having a UI/HUD in real life just doesn't sit right with me. I guess this time I'm part of the 'new technology, don't want!' crowd.

Really though, asking where people are? What happened to privacy.

Well we can also assume that any hacker (government or not) could potentially access the camera footage, or even Google for that matter. I'm not a tinfoil hat wearing conspiracy theorist or anything, but its still always a possibility.

And my phone can do all of this quicker and more efficiently...

As cool as this may seem (I love the idea of HUDs), but its about as gimmicky as the Kinect.

I'll also need to indiscriminately hack computers. I'm sure they'll have an app for that so hacking turns into that connect the dots game.

I mentioned this in another thread--If they can actually make the glasses react that quickly and have decent battery life, I'll wear them. I'm thinking the reality will be a bit more clunky than what's in this video, though. I might wait for the second version.

I don't understand how the user-interface can be completely hands free. Like someone else said, I see this being used in conjunction with a smart phone for many of the features. The thing about the user-interface is, I don't see people (in general) wanting to speak out loud to nothing at all in order to work their glasses. That being said, I would love to have my own HUD with mini-map. I still don't like the idea of people knowing where I am though (yes, I'm wearing my paranoia hat)

Heh, people already do exactly that on a daily basis between bluetooth headsets and voice command systems.

But in any case, such a system would probably be paired with a powerglove of some description for the more advanced commands.
