sauce [http://www.fasterlouder.com.au/news/local/23177/Metallica-set-to-tour-in-November.htm]

Ok, so in November, Lars, Rob, James and Kirk will be kicking back down under. I will be there. Will any of you?

This also seems like a good opportunity to tell you about the last time I was at Metallica in 2004. This was the Big Day Out, the 2nd show, where I was working as a roadie at the time. We got to a point where we couldn't do any more work while the stage was live, so we spent the last 20 mins of Metallica's show being paid for hanging out watching Metallica from Backstage. So I guess we should also make this thread about awesome concert experiences.

Horns are raised like you said.

Yeah my friend told me they were coming a few days ago, not particularly a fan of Metallica though so I won't be going.

I saw them last December in Anaheim. They were fucking awesome! And not a single Stanger song on the set list too! :D

I won't be there unless I score a freebie.

I missed my one and only chance to see the real Metallica in 1989 when they toured Australia on the "Justice" tour (was just a little too young at the time). Ever since they churned out that pop-by-numbers Black Album I've totally lost interest in the band. Also I'm sure it will be mega-expensive and I don't pay for gigs these days, especially not gigs for bands who haven't released a decent record since the 1980s.

Oh, i will be going, i better camp out the ticket booth so i can get tickets, these will sell out so fast!

In all the excitement over the riot provoked by Metallica?s recent show in Colombia, where 1,500 police and four tanks were deployed to manage the crowds. Tanks for a Metallica concert, that's some hardcore fans right there.

Yeh remember seeing them at the Sydney entertainment center years ago.Was probably around the time of the Black album.
Remember they were fucking loud, good concert but remember they have so many songs everyone wants to hear that they just mashed about a dozen songs into one long jam.

I guess my favourite live show was Helmet about 2yrs ago.
Then Rollins Band back around 95.
Then a Aussie band called Tumbleweed, always put on a great live show.Youtube 'Sundial' to get a taste.
