6 points for a goal, 1 point for having a go. (Good on ya!)

NRL
4 points for a try, with an additional 2 if you convert the goal posts from a position determined by the last tackle and the placing of the try. Also, you may score 1 point for a feild goal drop kick, if you keen and reckon the bloke on the other side wont hit you before the ball hits the deck. Good luck. (1 point seems a bit cheep for the risk, perhaps this is why they don't do it)

Real football keeps it simple (so footy's, you should take it up: real easy to count, but it may require some foot-eye coordination, so be careful!): 1 point for a goal. Football's great.

(Also, it is football, not soccer. The Australian Football Association tell's us so in this fine nation, and FIFA does internationally)
