damnation and HELLFIRE.
The first one was bloody BRILLIANT, and I'm sorry it just dosn't feel like a triolgy franchise.
GODDAMIT
Another great film RUINED.

Despite this I will still be likely to see the film.

For some reason when i think of Avatar 2 being made i also think of Duke Nukem Forever xD
Maybe it's a sign ;)

The sequels should be a bit more original. The first one was mostly based off Camerons old films since he was risking a lot of money.

Let's hope there'll be some actual story and character in the sequel.

I fail to see how this will impact the first film in any way.

It won't and I'll still like the first film...I'm just raging on the "why fix what isn't broken" principle. If he makes a second film, and lets be honest good sequels are few and far between, granted Aliens and Alien 3 were good so hopefully Cameron is capable of making good sequels.
I just don't think Avatar is Triolgy material and should therefore be left alone.

It's hard to describe what my feelings on Avatar having a sequel are. I loved the original movie, and would love to see another one, except Avatar just felt like the sort of movie that shouldn't have a sequel.

I'm going to do something quite brave here and admit never seeing the film.

This sums up my fears pretty well.
The first one was great and had a good ending, why make a sequel (or two)? :\

Avatar was awesome, well I mean the story/writing/plot/acting wasn't, but I mean it was just awesome. But I'm sure they will make another one, it's all about the money and I mean well, Avatar made about a billion dollars worldwide.

It's not a movie that needs/should have a sequel.
