i find that hard to believe, if he was having heart trouble, why didnt he avoid the movie
Because it is not known for people to die just by watching a movie? It sounds completely reasonable to me.

Although I wonder why they'd want to visit Pandora, when everything there seems designed to kill you.
You can't even breathe on the planet.
People are weird.
Well it started when we used it as a penal colony, and then some crazy bastards decided that they liked being superheated recreationally, so it became a tourist hotspo... I'm sorry, I was thinking of Australia. Same basic rules apply though.
Prick. lol
Ahh, I only tease 'cos I love Australians :p

Apart from Atkinson. That **** can die in a bush fire, while being beaten up by a startled kangaroo (those things actually happen, right?)

well, there are a lot of avatards out there, apparently.
Wait wait. There is a stupid name for the people who enjoyed the film?
Seriously?

What ever happened to:
"Hey I saw Avatar!"
"Oh yeah? I did too. I didn't like it very much."
"Really? I enjoyed it! I thought it was a fun movie!"
"Neat. Wanna go grab some ice cream?"
"Sure!"

End Scene!

Geez, people. Get over yourselves.
You like it or you don't, but let other people enjoy, or not, the film in peace.
Sheesh.
Thank you!!! Its refreshing to get a break from all the synical bastards who think that liking things is overrated.

I really liked Avatar. Not one of my favorite movies, but it was so damn beautiful!

I heard that people were getting depressed after seeing the movie and killing themselves because our world couldn't compare to the world of Avatar. I found that hilarious.

Damn. You just watched a movie, and then your neighbor's dead. That must have sucked.

Also: why all the hate people? It surely wasn't great in any artistic or intellectual way, but it was kinda fun nonetheless, don't you think?
Being bored isn't fun.

I was depressed that other movies still can't get computer graphics right in the year 2009 when Avatar can make a whole film using it. Well about 90% of the film anyway. the graphics in a movie like say GIJoe were disgusting. How can movies have such crap graphics on such huge budgets?

It's kinda understandable though. Maybe they just tripped and fell into the Uncanny Valley [http://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/Main/UncannyValley], or they had depression symptoms before seeing Avatar. And the plot is depressing, when you think about it from the humans' side.

You sir, are a beautiful person.

I haven't seen it yet, but I plan to - it seems the first 3/4 comments on this are people trying to be cool (not from what they said but how they said it).

Wow, it was that bad that it killed him?

LOLOLOLOLOLOLWIT.

Anyway, that was... stupid. Avatar wasn't really that action-y except for near the end, and even that can't compare to over action movies I've seen.
Still, poor guy. At least he'll be the only person (I know of) to die in this way. It's unique.
