Name: Riku Yoshida
Gender & Age: Male, 23
Concept: Air Bender mercenary
Appearance: He is a small, thin man, standing at around 5'8, with an almost blonde orange hair, that is perpetually messy. He lacks the usual air bender tattoo, instead having a mimicry in the form of a black dragon running down his left arm. His preferred clothing is a loose wine colored tunic that reaches his mid thigh, black pants and brown boots that run up to his mid-calf, the edges flipped down due to their length.
Personality: On the outside he tends to be a bit obnoxious, seemingly arrogant and highly sarcastic. The truth is, he is ruthless and analytical. He actually dislikes violence, and will end fights with brutal efficiency. When he makes a friend, he is willing to bend over backwards to help them.
Equipment: A bladed fan with the Fire Nation symbol on it.
Animal Companions: An old messenger hawk named Roxas, shortened to Roxxy, a gift from his mother and a loyal beast. It refuses to travel too much though, as it is past its' prime.
Bio: His father was a Monk in the Southern air temple, though was fed up due to it being, in his words, 'boring'. He longed for excitement, and left when he came of age. He decided to try his hand at mercenary work, and found he liked the taste of blood. He became partially famous, picking up the name 'Mouse' for his small size, high speed, and love of cheese. When he found himself too old, and tired of the fighting, he found a nice village around the Fire Nation, eventually finding a wife and siring twins, the air bender Riku and a firebender Sora. The two boys were content with their upbringing, combat training played a heavy role though. Riku didn't like fighting, though Sora was all for it. In fact, Sora became the fourth youngest bender to ever learn the trade. A fact that wasn't actually confirmed, but a thing their father told him. He enjoyed it whether it was true or not. When the Fire Nation bandits invaded, it was the day they were going to be tested anyways. The day started off normally enough, the boys arguing over breakfast, quickly escalating to bending fight, and both are sent to their rooms by their father. Also as was the usual Riku ran to the farms to blow off some steam. He was one of the first to witness their charge. The bandits were ruthless, and bold, cutting down peasants and setting fire to buildings. Riku attempted to help in the defense after his shell shock wore off, working with his father and brother. Their valiant effort was for naught, unfortunately, as the village fell regardless. Riku had managed to escape without scar, but his brother lost an arm from the elbow down. They had managed to stop the bleeding and get a bandage for him. Thus began their travels, the stuff of stories really. The boys and father went around helping the defenseless and all that, though when they found dear old dad was too old to continue, they were forced to flee the nation they were raised in. They made it to Ba Sing Se, and continued their mercenary work. This eventually took a dark turn, as they were caught by two gangs they were harassing for several weeks. Riku left with but a few bruises, and one less brother. After paying for his funeral, a nice one at that, he decided to use what little power he had for good, and signed up for the White Lotus.
