I've heard the "Dances with Wolves" theory as well, which baffles me in a way, as such as I don't see the point in bringing that up. I can see where they are coming from with it - character X is sent in to "infiltrate", shall we say, a particular group, be they native Americans or blue skinned aliens. and instead of being against them ends up sympathising with their cause. And yes, there are going to be people who bash the film for some of the more questionable hippie-style sentiments in the film, but then, I could hardly blame them for that.
Don't get me wrong, I'll proably see it one of these days when there's nothing better playing and I'm quite aware of the directors record. The story of the film never really interested me.Hardcore_gamer said:
