Avatar will not appear no matter what I do, help?

Sorry for starting a new thread just to ask a tech question, but I've been having this problem for around a week now. For some reason no avatars I've tried to upload will appear, I've tried re-uploading, I've tried clearing my cache, nothing is working. I KNOW the avatars I'm using are under 75x75 px, I've used .JPEG, .PNG, .GIF, all the formats I can imagine, all I get is the image error logo no matter how long I wait.

I'm really stumped on this one, help please!

Um if you are talking about if you don't have an avatar now I can see your avatar just fine. The escapist has been a little slow recently with its uploading of new avatars and sometimes it takes awhile before it fully uploads. But the Specs for the Avatars are 75X75 and 100K for non pub club members and 100X100 and 200K for pup club members. If you need me to I can always check to see if the avatar you want to upload fits the specs.

While we're on the subject of the lack of avatar appearance, I've had the problem of not being able to see anyone's avatar. I have the little box checked saying it'll show avatars, but I see none.

I am using FF and NoScript, which could be part of the problem.

I re-sized it using GIMP to 74X74, and uploaded the edited version. Maybe for some reason I cant see it but other people can, that's... odd, I'll clear my cache again...

Your avatar looks fine to me. This sort of thing generally happens with uploading a new avatar; you just have to give it a bit of time.

Cleared my cache a second time and that fixed it, making this thread's existence 100% pointless, sorry for wasting everyone's time.

Hah, yeah, I had the same problem first time I uploaded my avatar.
But, everything works out. And, as others have pointed out, your avatar is showing. You're the only one that can't see it.

Hmmm... This remind me of that story; The Emperor's New Clothes.

Yeah that is the image that I see as your avatar. My one friend changed his avatar a few times recently and it took a day once before that avatar would show up. Sometimes the escapist is slow with these things and it takes awhile but I can see your avatar and it may be a problem with your computer or something like that if you can't see it. If it continues to happen you can always go to the Tech Team [http://www.escapistmagazine.com/groups/view/Tech-Team] user group and they can probably help you.

I cleared my cache again and now I can see it too, man do I feel stupid, this is the first time I've started a thread on the Escapist, and I didn't realize you couldn't delete them again, my apologies to everyone for making this useless thread.
