Hi, PsychicTaco here

As some here on the site know, I love changing my avatar a lot

Others though prefer to stick with one avatar, rarely changing it at all

My question to you is: which do you do (change or keep) and why

I do it because I get bored easily with what I have and like keeping things different, personally :D

I changed mine for the first time in about three years last week.

Feels weird, man.

I have no problems with changing it, I just loved my Macarena-ing Weeping Angels. Still, I love Amelie too.

EDIT: Sorry, I had the angels for two years, not three. I don't even remember what I had before that.

I have only changed mine once, and that was because someone else took my old avatar and it confused the hell out of me so I just changed it. I prefer to keep to just one avatar, I don't know why, I just like having one avatar. I do want a new one though, a gif one, but the one I want is too big D:

I used to like changing it but now everyone associates me with my current avatar. On a selfish note I like when people keep their avatars (or change it to a similar avatar) because I find I recognize people better by their avatar rather than their name.

I plan on changing it up fairly frequently. I've got some ideas for new avatars with the same character. I just have to get around to fixing the model at some point...

I've kept my avatar because it's so awesome, it never needs changing. Also I've disabled avatars so I never notice them anyway.

I don't have any intention on changing my avatar for a long while. I'm quite fine with Crush representing me on teh interwebz. :D

Also, 500 posts! And it only took a year and a half. At this rate, I'll have the Real Ultimate Poster badge in 13 1/2 years! :D

I shall recommend TimeLord [http://www.escapistmagazine.com/profiles/view/TimeLord] (after he was recommended to me by .50 Caliber Cow), as he, very kindly, was the one that made my avatar after shrinking it down from a picture that was far too big. Ask nicely, and I'm sure he'll help if he's not busy. There is also the guys at Avatar Store [http://www.escapistmagazine.com/groups/view/The-Avatar-Store-New-and-Second-Hand] who I'm sure can help.

OT: It seems the longer I'm here, the longer I keep an avatar for. In the beginning, I changed my avatar a few times, but then I settled on the House one for quite some time, and now obviously I have the one of Troy, which I think I shall be keeping for quite some time.

How do you manage to tell people apart then, by name?

That takes skill o_O

I can tell you don't like it, just look how sulky she is.

OT: I don't think I'll ever change mine, I just like it too much :D

I very rarely change my avatar.

Especially on forums where I know people and where I contribute, to avoid confusing them. Here, I doubt anyone really recognises either my user-name or avatar.

Yup, by name. I mostly browse at work and just pretend to be doing something important, so I think avatars might give me away a bit. That or the thousands of Nathan Fillon gifs -_-

I change my avatar approximately whenever I feel like it. Usually though, I stick to using Rin Kokonoe. I have over a dozen of her, so it's pretty easy. :p

Sometimes though, when I wanna feel ironic, I'll use this one.

Yup, that's one evil neko right there.

I change mine up whenever I'm in the mood for it. Considering ordering an Arsenal kit for one of my dolls, may put a picture of her in that for my next avatar.

I've changed my avatar once, partially because I figured that a Shadow of the Colossus avatar might work better on a gaming site, not to mention that my hat avatar was getting a bit old hat.

My avatar has always been this particular dragon,
I did change it recently for a more updated version.

I don't change it because it's a good way for people to recognize others in a forum.
It's like remembering faces but not names.

You're OK Taco because your avatars always follow a theme, as long as it's always a Taco for head, I'd recognize you.

Every time something new concerning Sonic (that I like) appears, I usually change my avatar to reflect that. I don't change it that often and I'm sure that once the new Sonic & All-Stars Racing Transformed hits the selves, I'm sure to change my avatar once again.

I very rarely change my avatar. I've changed it a total of once since I joined here and this is both exceptionally fast (only in a few months) and exceptionally frequent for me. The most I've changed my avatars was 3, maybe 4 times on different forums (only two of them). The rest of the time, I've either stayed with one and the same, or have changed it once or twice at most.

And as I've said before in avatar threads, I have a very limited pool of avatars, so it's not like I have a lot of choice for me. There are like 4-5 "stock" avatars I have and this one is absolutely new addition to them, hence why the change.
