(The word originally meant an incarnation of a god or some such, then got reused for someone's incarnation in a virtual space, then got watered down from there, I believe?) Anyways, what could be a more obvious representation of yourself than a picture of yourself. I'd totally do it, but I can't be bothered with finding/taking, cropping, and resizing a picture of myself, especially given the size constraints for avatars here. And my laziness.

It gives people more insight into the fact that youre a girl? I think your post hold weight because of their substance not who post them. But thats just me.

Also i just attempted to use my own pic as an avatar...so far nothing has changed, i think this site just doesnt want my pic on it...

Yeh I've only got one picture of myself on my laptop and it's in my profile, no one would see much if it was 75x75 and I can't be bothered to take another one.
