Ended up having to change my avatar (old avatar was a dapper cartoon joker doing a silly walk against a pink background). I recently changed computers and my old gif archive got lost along the way and I have no idea where I got my old avatar to begin with.

Quite like my new thrusting Solaire though.

Couldn't find my old one. Ironically, I have a version saved I can't use.

So I went with a temp avatar. I don't think I'm going to keep it, but I can't think of a good idea right now.

I feel like I'm missing out. I haven't had any issues with avatars, randomly colored borders, or a pub upgrade.
Maybe I haven't been on enough or at the right time to experience it.

We have the same thing going on in GameTrailers. Seems like everyone over at GT from 2014 and earlier got a free premium upgrade. I myself have a premium upgrade at GT, but not here on the escapist.

So the free upgrade may be related to join date oddly enough.

My avatar reverted to my previous one that I was last using before my PubClub expired. I change my avatar so often anyways, though, so it is once again different. Wouldn't doubt that I'll get tired of this one before a few days pass.

Have you tried clicking the profile image in the top right corner (next to the messages box)? That seemed to have fixed it for me.

Most stuff like that can be fixed by some session refression - log out, clear your cache and log back in, then set the new avatar and give it a few minutes to update.

Problem fixed. It was something on my end.

I took the opportunity to update to the avatar I've been using on other sites for the past several months. (Credit to my friend Harsh Boogie [http://discount-supervillain.tumblr.com/] for drawing what has to be one of the more random requests he's ever gotten)

Not that it really matters. I hardly comment here. And at the rate the site is dying, it's a little late to start, unfortunately.

I believe you need to have been here at least 6 months to get the random upgrade (amongst other requirements, but that seems like the pertinent one)

Technically I should had changed my avatar a year or two ago. I used to change my avatar per MLP season but I got lazy and stop asking a person who can make a gif, make a pony gif for me.

I didn't actually have issues, it just went back to my Hugh Laurie from Blackadder one. However, I did use this opportunity to change it to the one I have now. It amuses me.
