How do you make your .gifs work anyway?

They have to be the correct size, 75x75 I believe.

Yeah, my avatar was originally 100x100, and the text was easily readable then, but I had to shrink it to 75x75 to make it work and the site I used to shrink it didn't do a very good job. Now it's kinda hard to read, which greatly detracts from it's appeal because the gold is all in the text.

EDIT: As for my vote, I've gotta say it too... ALL HAIL THE HYPNOTOAD!!!

As far as avatar quality goes the whole site is pretty good. I can't really think of a site with a better avatar population.

There is one thing that pisses me off about avatars is when people have hot girls as their avatars. Unless you are the girl in your avatar it's kinda faggy.

Yes, I do appreciate that my previous avatar was a hot girl but it was Alexia Sinclair's 'Olympias'. I had it for its artistic value and not its sexual value, seriously.

I you didn't see it, it looked like this. Kinda crappy as a tiny avatar though.

It's gotta be the right size. I know the dimensions have to be 75x75 or less, but I'm not sure if you have to keep it under a maximum filesize. But anyway, try reducing the size of the gif. A Google search should bring you to several sites that can do it.
