I got a good one (possibly), I was playing Baldur's Gate and had my party of 6 adventurers (all of which had 16+ Dex). I could slaughter pretty much everything. Then I get attacked by gibberlings (laughably weak blue monkey creature things).
And this is where it gets sad, I set everyone to attack the last one, three people with swords, an archer (Kivan) and two spellcasters with slings, and NO ONE can HIT IT!
They stood there swinging/shooting at it (and it at me) without a single goddamn hit for like a Minute!
And then Kivan ran out of arrows, took his halberd and just executed it...

This thread was made for Alone in the Dark. Or maybe it's the other way around.

You get a little over half way, then all of a sudden, the game sprouts ups a hundred of Satan's death wangs all over central park. To progress in the story, you have to become more powerful. Only way to become more powerful, kill the death-penises--100 of them to be exact.

Still haven't gone back to that game.

Another Civ5 moment. Getting beat out on every Wonder build for the first 10 times. And getting a Steam Achievement out of it...
"Aw! You gotta be kidding me!"

Is there a special limitation to this? Because I think this could be easily cheesed by investing a turn in 10 wonders and then not bothering afterward.

As for mine:
Finding out who the color-coded, hooded mystery men in Xenosaga. Give me parts 4-6 Namco!!!
