Got the early download of Mass effect 2 from Direct 2 Drive, Installed it today. After installing It wanted me to install Adobe Air. I tried to instal Air, but it errored out claming I didnt have administration approval to install (theirs only one user on this system, I built this thing from scratch) I am the administrator. Thought nothing of it, and try to run mass effect 2. I get the error awc.dll load fail. and thats it, nothing happens.

Im currently using Win 7 beta (late july09 version), have adobe air version 1.1.0.5790, My system ran Dragon age with out any problems (other then the memory leak causing terrible load times).

Is adobe air some crap attempt at additional DRM (even after the launch code activation and release date check and server login)? Is it Win 7? Has any one else had this problem and been able to fix it?

I already searched the bioware forums, lots of other people have this issue with the .dll, but i seem to be the only one unable to get adobe air to function. Any ideas?

Guess I will play MAG for now (which i am enjoying, other then driving the vehicles, terrible controls for vehicles...)

If someone still has the AWC.dll problem, for example because he installed Mass Effect 2 with the new EA Origin Downloader follow this workaround:
http://social.bioware.com/forum/1/topic/106/index/804361

I followed the instructions in the last post of the first page up to step 5) and since then ME2 runs flawlessly.
