It has been a long time since I have posted here... Hello old friend.

I am looking for mind-blowingly awesome class based co-op in any type of game. Especially RPG's, but not Runescape or WoW. I loved the hell out of Diablo 2, especially with 3-4 other people that were all completely different classes.

Right now, I'm quite enjoying Killing Floor. I'd be enjoying it more if it werent as difficult to set up private servers, so instead I am stuck joining random games.

Well, I actually cant think of any more examples, very few games have been awesomely class based co-op. Please help me out guys, if you know any games like this, preferably on pc.

If any of you HAVE games like this, I'd love to join you, if the invitation should be offered.

One last thing, I tried TF2 and Borderlands, not my cup of tea. No hate

Boy, if Borderlands/2 or Team Fortress 2 didn't satisfy you with class-based coop then I don't know what will.

Er...I suppose there's always Torchlight II? Or Diablo III?

You said you liked Diablo II, so those games might be right up your alley.

I've played both, and they both unfortunately seem like rather watered down versions of Diablo 2.
Then try Path of Exile, if you haven't yet - it seems to tackle the Diablo 2 vibe from a different angle than TL2. And it's free.

As for a different game - SWAT4. Up to 5 people can play it as a team and, here is the good part - hasty thoughtless action will get your team wiped really easy. Also, lack of teamwork would get you wiped. Well, with that said, it has no classes but I'd still recommend you try it, if possible.

And there are always MOBAs - Dota 2 and League of Legends are free, team based, and...yeah, class based, too. Only, you don't retain your progress after a game like KF/D2, each match is self contained. Quite fun if you're into that, maybe a bit boring if you're not. Also, there is a bit of a learning curve, as you do have to play a fair bit to get into the game. Still, free, and if you have friends, especially experienced ones, it shouldn't be too much of a problem - you can play against bots.
