Richard Lovon.

That guy was real, but my mum has an entire 15+ page document with hilarious book titles and their author's names. Thinking new ones up is awesome.

But ones that I've encountered in my own life? Well, I went to high school with a guy named Colton Danforth. That's got to count for something.
I don't understand why that one's funny. Am I just derp?

OT: At my local high school there was a kid with the family name "Kenobi". His parents named him "Ben".
It's not really all that funny; it's just such an unusual (and completely badass) name. Someone with a name like that should be walking around with a monocle and a pocket watch. And fighting crime. With a sword cane... a laser sword cane.

For the awesomeness, my friend surname is "Tempest" and another friend got the surname "Payne". Yes the same surname from Max Payne.

The only hillarious name I know of was my dentist once mention a friend with the name Penelope Apricot. I didn't really get the joke (something to do with fruit) other than it's a bizzare name.

We've had a few Brits on, haven't we?

How come the former Chief of the Defence Staff hasn't been mentioned: Air Chief Marshal Sir Jock Stirrup, the Baron Stirrup...

EDIT: For fictional names: the schoolmaster in Nicholas Nickleby: Wackford Squeers.

I met a bloke a couple months ago named Starbuck. Said his parents were huge BSG fans and loved the name that much.

I know a retired Marine and his surname is Widdowfield. Which I think is quite possibly the greatest name ever.

I know someone named Drayton Payne. Does that sound like super villain or what? It reminds me of Lex Luthor for some reason. Funnily enough, he's a snobby rich prick.

People tend to think that my last name is very funny but I'm not going to tell you it. Now go away and don't even think of asking me what it is.

OT: My brother knew a guy with a ridiculously hilarious name, but I can't remember it :/

I'll have to ask him sometime

Ran into a guy called Jake Biggerstaff over the weekend, which was great because I had been having a manly-name contest with a friend a few days beforehand. We came up with Tungsten Hardcastle and Rupert Sexgarden.
