Most of the NPCs in DND games are awesome since it's your friend/DM playing them.

My favorite has to be an ant-man-bearpig thing. He was our surgeon.

I second liberty prime. He carried nukes on his back to throw at things and I loved his dialogue

I've always had a fondness for mirmirs, so I'd have to say that Morte [http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Planescape:_Torment#Characters] is my favorite npc.

A divided mind is one that does not *know* itself. When it is divided, it cleaves the body in two. When one has a single purpose, the body is strengthened. In *knowing* the self, grow strong... best game ever. Dak kon for me, best npc.

Is GLaDOS not secondary enough, or have people actually just moved on? Personally, she would get my vote.

Also, people kept telling me that Minsk, from Baldur's Gate 2, was so hilariously awesome, but I don't see it, yet. I haven't played it all the way through, though.
