So today I've bought a PS3 and I'm loving InFamous, Demon's Souls and Uncharted: Drake's Fortune. I already have a Wii and 360 so my cross platform games are merely a preference now. I imagine there is a long back log of great PS3 exclusives to catch up on, the next few on my list being MGS4 and Uncharted 2 (I'm waiting for Little Big Planet 2, no point getting the original now).
So, fellow escapists, anything you'd recommend?

I just got Little Big Planet, and I'm absolutely lovin' it, it's essentially Gmod for PS3.

And Little Big Planet 2 is out already (I think) and is supposed to be even better.

Just read the rest of your post, but I'd still recommend the original LBP.

The Killzones are a lot of fun, and Resistance looks cool (though I haven't actually played it).

There are more, but my mind's drawing a blank right now :c

The PS3 has the most exclusives because Sony has more 1st party devs.

The PS3 has the best online shooters:
Warhawk
MAG (best online FPS this gen)
Metel Gear Online (on the MGS4 disc & it's the most hardcore online shooter this gen)
I'm hoping SOCOM4 will be great

A bunch of other great exclusives:
Valkyria Chronicles
Uncharted 2
Heavy Rain
Heavenly Sword (better than GoW3)
MGS4
LBP
MLB The Show
The Last Guardian can end up being the best game this gen

A slew of PSN games:
PixelJunk games
Echochrome
Flower
Joe Danger
Dead Space Nation
Wipeout

Well, the big one that hasn't been mentioned yet is God Of War III, which is not only a great game, but an impressive piece of software. It has some of the best graphics on the market, and yet has no installation or load times.

If you're looking for a change of pace from most video games, you might want to give Heavy Rain a try. It's a gritty mystery story that puts you in the shoes of comparably realistic characters.

Metal Gear Solid 4 Might also be worth a try, with its smooth controls and clunky plot.

As for Resistance 1 and 2, I highly recommend the first one. It had a massive variety of weapons that allows you to approach any given situation with a broad range of strategies. Not to mention its main character wasn't a space marine! Resistance 2 was, unfortunately, dumbed down into a generic clone of Halo (2 weapons at a time, regenerating health, less unique weapon types, ect). Not to mention the main character feels rather more like a space marine....

That's all I can think of without digging into some of the more obsure, mediocre titles like Lair. Hopefully it helps.

Thanks, I forgot about God of War 3. I remember enjoying the original quite a bit oh so many years ago. Might take a look at the next Motorstorm game too...

Though these aren't based only on the PS3, I would still give them a shot as I have not stopped loving them.

Singularity: Corny plot-line "Russians = Bad guy", but the execution and game-play is wonderful in my opinion. Based around time travel, won't dissapoint.

Vanquish: Also, same plot line as above. Based in the somewhat-near future, "What the heck is going on?!" feeling. Heavy action.

Yeah, give them a go.

Resistance 1/2 They are both excellant in single player and co-op, also No2 has my favourite online co-ops ive ever played (even though non of my friends got it, and when online co-op is the best without friends that is special)!

Huh? I only post my honest opinions, nothing more. I really think the PS3 does have the best online shooters, I don't like CoD and the 360 only has Halo and Gears; I don't like Gears or Halo. I do feel Halo is better than CoD (which I can totally rip apart how feature-less it's multiplayer really is), and Uncharted 2 is so much better than Gears. I feel Vanquish (multiplatform) is the best single player shooter this gen because it's not a cover shooter (AKA whack-a-mole) nor is it a devolved FPS. Therefore, by default, Vanquish is the best shooter this gen. And, Metal Gear Online is without a doubt the most hardcore, old-school, and innovative online shooter this gen. I can literally post an essay to explain why I think that. MAG is the best FPS for various reasons like no health regen, no moving spawns, it doesn't reward camping, you don't actually have to focus on killing people to help your team, etc. MGO, MAG, and Warhawk just take so many more hours of play to master than CoD and that's why they are more hardcore. MGO's controls take longer to master than it takes to play CoD's single player campaign.

Yeah, a lot of people had said that about them, but it's your choice.
