Swedish death metal band Entombed.
As far as I know, they're not that widely known. I'm not especially intrested in them, but their album Serpent Saints is awesome from beginning to end!

Overkill in general aren't as big as they should be. They were one of the first thrash metal bands, and in my opinion the best of them all. Picking one was difficult, so I went with one of their newer songs!

I humbly contribute...

The Clone High theme by Abandoned Pools.
An awesome song making an awesome intro to an awesome show. That's awesome.

The Wakfu theme by... I dunno, some French people.
It's either called Sur tes pas or is performed by Sur tes pas. Whatever, epic song, you listen now.
... I like theme tunes, okay?

Hipster Kitty would approve.

My friend showed me this song by Bombay Bicycle Club, who seem to be somewhat underground. Either way, this is brilliant.

Fading by Decyfer Down. The christian market is so ah, whats the word, lacking in monetary funds that most people never hear about them but there are a few good songs. Just need to know where to look.

Well, anything by this guy for me.

Also I'd throw in the first album from The Bacon Brothers (yes, that would be Kevin and his brother). Bomshel for the country folk. Bond for the classical fusion folk. Alana Grace is pretty good. Ha Ha Tonka is good folk music (they did a great version of "Black Betty" at Summerfest but that's not on their album. Believe it or not, the Infant Sorrow album (Get Him To The Greek soundtrack) is really good, even if you don't like Russel Brand. Ed Kowalczyk of Live has a good solo album. Well, I kind of went off topic by listing albums or bands and not songs but all those songs on the albums are little known, right?

idk how they are viewed overseas, but The Eyes of a Traitor (or just Traitor, idk) are pretty much unknown where I am. I, personally, love them, one of my favorite bands.

I love this song. I'm not sure if its really unknown but the only other people who know about it I've met so far are the ones with vista.

If you don't want to listen to the full song, do this:

Step 1: Fast forward to 3:00
Step 2: Wait for the solo to end
Step 3: Listen
Step 4: Now you can life your life like you should
That's an awesome song that I've never heard before! Thanks for posting it!

Firstly, She's Not There by The Zombies.
It's old, and underappreciated.

Then we come forwards in time to the magical time of somewhen or other quite recent, and we come to nearly anything my Fleet Foxes, such as English House

I also recently discovered Edward Sharpe & The Magnetic Zeroes, probably best known for Home, featured in nigh on any trailer for an indie movie about awkward teens in the past couple of years

I laughed. When I think of expanding, I think of more than 3 vague genres.

I dont know who sings it but Lithium Flower is fav unknown only made popular among anime circles with Ghost in the Shell: Stand alone complex.

Also Joe Romersa's work bot solo & with Soy Cowboy. Some of which were also made popular with the Silent Hill series.
