Hello Escapee's, and Escapett's, Today we have a new topic, Gameing Theme's and Muzaks!

Yes, In every game there's a soundtrack, or a theme, that's just epic, or completely sets a tone and mood that can't be beat.

So, Tonight in this thread, we're going to rock civilizat- I mean post those soundtracks and theme's.

My first contender is the Combine theme from HL2, which is sadly not present in game;

Second off, merely for my own amusement, and to show how much of a fanboy, another great bit of Valve musicalworkery;

So, 'Scapist's, What are your perferd gaming soundtracks and themes?

I didn't think they could have made the original more epic but they did. I listen to this almost daily XD

Edit: This song is also very cool, my favorite from my favorite game.

Put that on a loop and you've got epic in-game terror.

Also, the nomad's lair theme is very cool. My favorite alien music yet.

Ah, you like Valve OP, don't ya?

Well I do too, and I like the following songs in their game:

Vortal Combat:

Sector Sweep:

Guard Down:

And, bow down to the musical genius of the Silent Hill games!

True (Fucking love this song)

I would post more, but that'd be every song in Silent Hill, so YouTube the songs for the rest of them.

I haven't played the actual game itself, but I stumbled across this yesterday on Youtube:

I can't stop listening to it. I'm just surprised by the quality, after hearing so many bad things about the game itself. Then again, Sonic almost always has good music, no matter how bad the games themselves sometimes get.

And just about anything from the Chrono series qualifies as awesome.

Timesplitters, for just generally being great.

"Hey, Your no Zombie!"

Played in a game with a bunch of Youngins' who had never even heard of Future Perfect, it's really a shame.

WHAT?!

I'm not in favour of corporal punishment, but in this case, I'll make an exception....
Perhaps... Forceing them to carry two Miniguns at once? That seems ironically fair enough...

Ocarina of Time had some awesome music. My favourite of them all though is a toss-up between the Song of Storms and the Gerudo Valley theme. Listen to both below and try to decide which is better.

I must agree FargoDog, the music in Castle Crashers was pretty good.

Final Fantasy 6 has some of my favorite video game music of all time however.

Gran Turismo 4 had an okay soundtrack, and I thought Need for speed underground 2 had a good one too. I think Portal takes the Cake, though. (no pun intended)

I've said this before and I'll say it again. Halo. They've got the perfect orchestral score for a massive epic and the most beautiful music I've ever heard in a game. I feel safe in saying they've got the best.
