The Med-Gun (idea from RvB). Rather than shoot painful bullets, it shoots a healing salve to cure all wounds it hits.

There's a similar gun in Killing Floor where you can shoot people with darts that heal them.

I'd like to see a revolver with duel cylinders feature in a game. I'd also like the triple-barrelled shotgun become a reality (featured in Alone In The Dark).

How would a revolver have dual cylinders? Do you mean as in having two barrels?

Also, what's to prevent a shotgun having half a dozen barrels (assuming you can carry it)

I mean as in two cylinders to put the bullets in. It would work on a system where you slide the left cylinder in, and leave the right one hanging out or vice-versa.

Also, you could have half a dozen barrels but the sheer weight of it would deem it illogical in comparison to just a pump shotgun. It just seems like it would be easy to put a barrel above and between the two currently existing ones with little to no real problems.

Sonic Blade. Swing it and it causes supersonic vibrations that will deal damage despite the fact that you may have missed your target... with SOUNDWAVES!

You know, that last one is actually plausible...but to get the waves at such a frequency as to remotely damage your opponent would be a feat in itself.

Well, there is the Acid Shower, thank you Clock Tower 3. A tank of acid on your back, a showerhead to spray it onto your enemies with.

That is similar to the Desolator trooper from Red alert 3 but he uses toxic gunk.
OT: Kinetic gun, fires a beam of pure movement energy which causes no physical damage but will send the enemy quite literally flying. great for crowd control!

I stake the claim that not a single one of the posts in this thread lists a weapon that wasn't already thought up by some reality TV show or sitcom.

In spite of that, I submit my own idea: a multi-purpose "thrower." Flamethrower, ice-thrower (liquid nitrogen for example), acid-thrower, and sandblaster just to name a few of its collective uses.

In Kingdom Hearts there is a enemy with a shield that shoot ice Flamethrower style.

A handgun made mostly from a demon's horn with a barrel on the inside made from an angel's halo that when the trigger is held down rotates and expands. When the demon gun and the angel barrel touch, the result is a paradox field reaction that infuses the bullet with the energy of said paradox before firing it away. Whatever the bullet touches is erased from existance along with the bullet. When the bullet is completely destroyed, the paradox on it fades away.

Alternatively, I'd have sonic generating & noise canceling headphones so I could listen to music while everyone around me is falling to the ground grasping their ears.
