Spoiler: Everyone, but especially Book

Book, you unlocked some of the snail. If you want to unlock all of it, then you need to find and eat more of them. No one has really hunted down stuff they didn't fully unlock, so I thought I'd point it out.

@Nathair: Another organic thing. This one was flat and very thin, but was much wider than the slime- it couldn't even stretch itself far enough to feel both ends at the same time. There was a thick line in the middle of it, that split off into smaller lines, then even smaller ones. Whatever this thing was, it felt somewhat soft. A couple small moving things were on the thing. Whether they had a direction or not, the slime couldn't tell.

thanks for the heads up. and i know i want to find more mosquito because i want some of the rest of them, but ill remember the advice. if adding 2 different things in one post is to much message me and ill edit it.

Moving around on top of this large soft organic nathair absorbs a few of the smaller moving things inside himself and starts dissolving them as he moves more around the larger organic. Finally stopping he spreads out as far as he can and starts dissolving it as best he can starting at the edges and working his way inside. Grabbing more of the small moving organics moving around on top of it as well and dissolving them. While doing this he forms another sack inside himself next to the first, creating a place to hold the paralyzing poison from the pokey hurty thing from before [http://drellensimonend.files.wordpress.com/2012/03/nettle.jpg]. Feeling like something is missing he forms the delivery system from that first animal, 2 fangs sliding up out of his slime and the sacks of venom and poison connecting to them, one sack to each fang. After a drop from each slides out of the fangs they slide back into the slime, hidden.

I think you have the first functional glands. Also, you unlocked Bird of Paradise Petals.

@Nathair: There was enough of the flat wide thing [http://fc00.deviantart.net/fs17/i/2007/214/e/0/Blue_Bird_of_Paradise_by_Massano.png] for the slime to learn how to copy some of it for its own use, but only enough of the other things to know that their sense of taste was located at the bottom of the stick-like things that stuck out of their bodies. Air moved, and the slime felt colder than it was before when it happened. The air was filled with many tiny tastes of organic things that the slime was unaware of.

@Sevak: The creature's eye moved, and stared at the slime, but it didn't move away, or try to do anything. It just kept making air go in and out of its face quickly, its middle synchronized with it. Dark shapes began to appear on the ground, coming from other directions. Whatever they were, they were up in the air, and not running towards the slime at all. Some of the dark shapes landed a distance away, seemingly watching but doing nothing.

Hi Books I'm DH. Welcome to the rp.
@Viirin: I'm busy with school (and had been with advanced homework for summer plus marching band- still busy with mb too) so my posting will still be slower... but I plan to make it more frequent. At least if time allows for it to be.

Sevak noticed the black shapes move around and where some landed, being able to see practically everywhere. He noticed too that the furry thing was starring at him, but didn't do anything. He considered that might be because of the situation, but the slime wasn't sure.
What the slime did know, however, was that putting its mouth over this hard thing was difficult. It wasn't like the smaller ones that were easily plopped into his mouth before. It almost reminded him of the brown furry dead thing he had seen rather recently with bigger hard things like this. Yet this one was thicker than that. Not by much, but enough to cause the slime to have a bit of difficulty.
So Sevak left off the 'gnawing' theory he had, and decided to try and get some of the red flappy stuff nearby the white hard thing that was also oozing red liquid.

thank you for the welcome. im really glad im not the only one in this role play. it had been dead for a while as far as i can see and its much to good to be left like that.

Shivering nathair pull back into a more round form after spreading out to eat the plant. Rolling forward for a bit he stops and shakes himself, deciding how he is moving makes his fangs nigh useless. He starts pushing forward with a blob around where they are located in his body. Pushing and stretching he can feel his body changing slowly, the blob of his body thinning as more and more of it is stretched out after the portion of flesh with the fangs and venom sacks. A slightly wider piece at the end, splitting in half from a memory, forming a mouth but nothing further inside than that. The fangs sliding out of the top part of the mouth before hiding again inside the slime like flesh. Doing this a few times then sliding inside, the second sack moving slightly inside and another set of fangs sliding out of the bottom of his mouth this time, closer together and smaller. The poison sack from the paralyzing thing disconnects from the top fang and connects to both of the lower one, the venom sack adding another connection and now the top set of fangs are connected to that one. Both sets sliding out and a drop of poison and venom sliding out of each before sliding back inside the skin and becoming hidden again. Sliding along slowly for a little distance he can feel the dull hunger from before turn into a ravaging desire for food. Over riding almost all other instinct for the shear desire for organic material.

Spoiler: This weekend

Depending on what happens (not in my control), I'll be moving this weekend and won't have the internet until I get to Pennsylvania. My cousin there is one of the two best artists I've ever seen, actually able to put things in my head onto paper flawlessly. I'll see if he'll do everyone's characters. Book- Glad you didn't say you were changing your skin type or anything, I'd say the growth you did maxed out your biomass from last post, but since you're only changing the general shape of the slime itself, and not actually adding anything, you're good.

@Sevak: Finally the furry thing moved. When the slime grabbed a hold of the part of the thing where the red stuff was coming out, it kicked and struggled, making the inorganic round things move out of the way. The slime could now see more of the creature's limb, as it began to free itself from being stuck. One of the dark shapes sitting on something began to move.

@Nathair: The slime's attention was pulled away due to a new taste that came to it. Some sort of sticky, slippery dirty-tasting liquid slid down the inorganic, touching the slime and pouring around it. It was obviously inorganic, whatever it was.

Writhing around as the dirty bad tasting liquid washes over nathair he starts slithering away as fast as he can. Not liking the taste of this dirty inorganic and wanting to get away from it. But before he had gotten to far away the need to feed overpowers his distaste and he ignores the disgusting tasting liquid as he starts looking for something with his blood sense. Looking for something to test his new fangs and poisons on, the 2 sets of fangs sliding out and staying out as he slithers around looking for something with blood flowing through its body.

Sorry, had computer problems and had to do a few things- like learn more swamp animals. I got enough to take care of you for quite awhile now!

@Nathair: It was relatively far away from the slime, but in front of and to the right of its fangs, it could sense something with blood. None of the blood lines were very thick or long, it was something small and roundish. But it wasn't even to the slime, it was up. Up further than the slime could stretch. The matted ball of blood lines was moving around, but not going very far- though the slime would have to cross the thin yucky liquid in order to get towards it. If there were other things for the blood sense to notice, they were probably blocked somehow from being detected.

hey no problem dude. do what you have to do. glad your move went well and all that jazz. awesome that you did some research on swamp things.

Facing his fangs at the small mass of of blood up nathair gurgles and moves forwards towards it until he touches the inorganic yucky and pulls back quickly until he is not touching it anymore. Writhing slightly on the ground he slithers to the side for several of his body lengths then tries to head to the small mass of blood again, touching the inorganic stuff again and backing up more. Heading back up to where he was the first time he goes farther and tries to go to the mass of blood again. Touching the inorganic again he writh's for a second then push's forward in and trying to get through the inorganic to the mass of blood that is ahead and above him. Getting right under the mass of blood he faces his fangs at it and tries to lift high enough to get to it. Falling short he circles around slightly and slowly circles wider and wider trying to find a way up to it.

@Nathair: The slime had crossed the bad-tasting liquid and made it to a place where it hadn't gotten, and found organics. There was a small patch [www.first-nature.com/fungi/agaricus-augustus.php] of one type that stuck out of the ground, thin and straight, but topped with a different shape that was much, much wider. The blood mass hadn't really moved except in place, whatever it was doing. Another organic the slime found was very soft, and low to the ground [http://static.ddmcdn.com/gif/irish-moss-1.jpg]. The last one it had noticed before it realized the dirty liquid [http://myhydros.org/global-water-crisis/effect-of-an-oil-spill/] was affecting it, was bigger than the slime knew was possible. Its big circles it was making seemed to mirror the hard, rough organic that the blood must be on somehow. Whatever the giant was, the part of it the slime could feel was generally round, but was uncomfortable to touch since it was so rough.

Slithering around the short round organic nathair that he had touched first he knows it doesn't have blood in it so he just curls up tight around one and tries to absorb and dissolving the parts he does absorb. Once he finish's the first he slides over to the next and repeats the proses for each of the few short organics before they are gone. Staying still for a few second to go over the information he had gotten from the organics. Sliding over the wide soft organic he absorbs some of it and dissolves it as he searches for a way to get up to where the blood filled thing is. Looking for some way up so he can get at it and try out his new fangs.

I think I'll put unlocks in group chat so they aren't cluttering up the game's thread.

@Nathair: By the time the slime had eaten the funny organic things, the strange feeling it got from the liquid was gone. Paying better attention to the roughness the slime was feeling, it could tell that it could slowly slurp itself upwards along the giant rough organic, as long as it kept its grip. The blood thing moved, this time going up further, and it seemed to fade slightly as it did so. Then another thing came into the slime's sense [http://i492.photobucket.com/albums/rr288/Viirinking/nathairmap.png]- a slightly bigger thing, and it was on the ground.

Starting its way up the roughness it stops when the small blood things moves farther away and starts to fade, turning its head to the larger blood filled thing just below it on the large inorganic it had been moving on. Sliding down the roughness he starts slithering towards the larger thing full of blood that is now level with him. Reaching out with his blood sense and looking for the thickest thing of blood closest to the surface. Slithering closer and closer until nathair is within range and and he slides his fangs out and jumps forward, striking at the thickest vein and pumping a large dose of the venoms from the upper fangs and also some of the poison from the lower fangs into it.

Spoiler: Combat

Normally you aren't allowed to say whether your hit landed or not (unless the thing is already subdued from earlier somehow, like Sevak's goat) but you didn't know that, so I'll let ya do it. I'm saying the blood is becoming invisible slowly because I'm thinking you can only detect living, warm-blooded creatures. Cold blooded and dead things can't be detected with your current blood sense.

@Nathair: The slime felt its fangs hit the creature, it resisting the injection, but in the same instance, that resistance give way and its fangs go in. The creature almost instantly moved backwards. Whether the slime's liquids got into the thing or not, it couldn't tell. The blood-filled creature's blood started dropping off it as it got away from the slime, moving far faster than the slime could. As the blood was laying on the ground, it started slowly fading from the slime's senses for some reason.

ill be more careful in the future

Moving forward and sliding over this cooling blood he absorbs it and dissolves it as he keeps moving forward, trying to stay on this path of no longer seen blood. Slithering along and slowly absorbing more and more of the droplets of spent blood on the ground as he tried following them. His fangs sliding in and out of his mouth several times before they stay in. He wonders what to do about things getting away in the future and what he can do to stop that. Continuing on slowly to make sure he stays on the blood trail as best he can. Sometimes not feeling the next few drops he slowly goes back and forth until the next few drops that taste like what he had been following touch his body and get absorbed.

@Nathair: The slime noticed the drips of blood started getting bigger and closer to each other, until it bumped into something something organic and furry [http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gambian_pouched_rat]. It was somewhat cool to the touch, and though mostly smooth, it was only soft on the furry part. The part under it was somewhat inflexible... Feeling the size of the thing, it was slightly bigger than the slime was.

Slithering around this organic that is soft and not soft all at once nathair push's against it some then slides over it. Laying on it for several seconds it starts trying to wrap itself around this organic, its short body moving around until its wrapped itself all the way around this thing. Staying there it squeezes and starts dissolving this organic into itself.

With your hand, make the biggest letter "C" you can using your thumb and pointer finger. Your new size uses your index instead. Also, once you're done eating this you'll have unlocked the rat I linked in the last post.

@Nathair: The slime was stretched so thin over the thing, that the slime actually felt it. But it wasn't impossible, and absorbing dissolving what it could started to make it feel better. The thing had a soft covering, and blood, and small hard things all throughout it, then squishy parts in between those.

Staying still for a little after dissolving the soft/hard thing nathair goes over what he learned about it through dissolving it. Feeling that he is bigger nathair slithers along the hard inorganic under him and wiggles at the feeling of more of him. The feeling of growing and knowing more and more feeling right so nathair starts slithering along the hard inorganic under him quickly feeling around with this sense and looking for more blood filled things, knowing now that to large of things will make him come off and go away he looks for something close to his size that he can bite.

@Nathair: As the slime oozed its way across the swampy ground, it tasted something organic and damp, but thin and crispy. After it slithered its whole form on top of this find, it felt the organic under it give way and it fell a short distance into a roundish inorganic tube made of the same inorganic it had been travelling on. A large organic thing was hidden in this tube with the slime, right below it. Whatever it was, it didn't seem to move, but was definitely not a plant.
