We had to walk to the nearest library, find an open computer, and dial up the internet which was nothing but green text so you could play a text based game. And we were grateful for it.

Seriously, anyone ever play a mud here?
I'm 32, I played MUDs and MUSHes quite a bit; mainly the Vampire: The Masquerade ones. I was privileged enough to have a modem and a PC in my room, however, so I didn't have to walk to the library.

And I was grateful for it. ;)

Back in my day, the sun didn't hurt my eyes when I went outside.

Sure did. I used to play WoTMUD back in the day. I'm pretty sure it's actually still around... but I have no interest in going back to it.
I tried that once. Made an account, waved to someone, they waved to me.

Then I quit. Guess they're just not my thing.

Pah, you kids have it easy these days with your "clearly outlined objectives" and your "correctly translated text logs". Back in MY day we'd have to walk 15 miles uphill BOTH ways to kneel in front of the cliff with a red crystal selected to catch the tornado. And don't get me started on the lake with the blue crystal!

Back in my day, we didn't have fancy schmancy 250 gigabyte hard drives on our consoles. We had 1 megabyte memory cards, for $30 each.

And you know what? We though that they were fucking massive.

...I'm so young.

Touche!

Back in my day, 64k memory was top-of-the-line.

(from my older brother)
Back in my day, the "computer room" was not the place to go to get on a computer. The "computer room" was actually the room that held the computer.

@innerRebellion, you missed the point.
Back in my day the point missed you.

And then I had to walk 25,000 miles barefoot in the hellfire, without gravity just to find the damn thing.

Now all of you kids get off my damn lawn before I beat you kids senseless with my cane.
Bah. You call that tough? I would have LOVED to be able to walk a mere 25,000 miles in hellfire! We had to walk all the way around the sun to just find the MAP to the point! And getting to the sun was hard enough!

Back in my day the most revolutionary hand held was the Gray Brick or the original Gameboy. It took 4 double A's and it had tetris and pipedream. I'm actually still a young-in....

Back in my day the Sega Genisis was the best thing on the market. And before you nintindo fanboys get your panties in a wad, I own both and know for a fact super nintendo is for cry baby loser fanboys.
Complaining about fanboys when your post reeks of fanboyism... Well done.

Back in my day there were no fanboys because no-one knew there was more than one console and we needed to bring notes to remember the commands we had to type in to run games. Also the word gigabyte wasn't made yet. Oh, the simple days with 20mb hard drives...

Back in my day, we wore skinny jeans because our older brother's clothes never fit quiet right.
In my day, I wear skinny jeans because I like to show off my great legs. So meh :p

Back in my day we had Gameboys, the games were shit except for the Pokemon series. Also they were built to last, I hated my Gameboy because it was pink, NOT RED! (I was ten pink was for girls). I stabbed it with a compass, threw it out a window, once accidentally dropped it in a pond and the fecker still works...good old Gameboy...with your shitty games and awesome Pokemon.

Back in my day a floppy disk is what we use if we want to save out computers works from school and bring it back home.

Back in my day TV were used to allow to cartoon ads for their toys, cereal, food etc. Now we got this stupid law prevent them to show it.

Back in my day there were no such food like "apples" or "carrot stick" in our happy meal.

Back in my day there was such a thing call "Penfriend" were you communicate a person from around the globe by using pen and paper and you become friends with them.

Back in my days Game magazine used to give out free cheat books which contain A-Z of games containing cheats and passwords for that game.

...and back in the day before yours, people didn't have computers and could only source information from books and other people. In the day before that, there was no electricity and all light was made by setting fire to things. Earlier still, the closest thing people had to surgery was amputation and hardly anyone could read.

What makes your day better than mine?
