The pathetic thing is that unlike our grandparents, what we can tell our grandchildren is that we stayed home all day playing videogames.

THink about it. Its safe to say weve all been raised in excess and comfort compared to what our grand parents been through. It might be worse if life is even going to get easier for our grandchildren, then we can complain on how hard our youths were.

When I was your age, all I ever did was sit on my ass and play video games, now get your over-active ass in here and stop playing outside in that glorious sunshine.

When I was your age we used to be able to see the sky and even the moon?

Whats the Moon you ask?

Well, you see earth has a large celstial companion we call the moon. It orbits around our planet and its what makes the tides come and go on the ocean, a long time ago before the dust storm as the dense toxic cloud cover people used to be able to see the moon every night before the sun came up.

Whats the sun you ask?

Well, you see.....

When I was a lad, if you were not at home and you wanted to call someone, you had to go to these things called "phone booths" and insert "quarters" into it. Then to talk to the right pesron you had to punch in a seven digit number that was only exclusive to them. But heres the kicker kids, you had to either memorize the number or have it written down. Anyone could use the booths, they were for the public you see. And sometimes when you called their house they wouldn't be there, and the phone would just ring and ring and ring until they eventually got home or you hung up. However if they were rich enough some people had these things called "answering machines", these were gadgets that would answer the phone for the person and ask you to leave a message, and it was stored on magnetic tapes. If you were lucky and the person was home, they would answer saying "hello?" or "how can I help you?" because there was no way of knowing who was calling or where they were calling from.

In my days I blasted aliens, traveled through time, raced against the world's best drivers and saved the world countless times from evil forces beyond our plane of existence. In the afternoons I yelled at people that children wouldn't stop swearing while I did it.
